- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A Great Book for All People to Understand Yourself and Others!I was actually very surprised by reading this book. It was very thoughtful and thought-provoking with Bible verses to illustrate the author's point. Even if you are not a super religous person, the amount of quotes and spiritual material in the boook is enough to get you thinking without feeling like someone is trying to push it on you. The book was an easy read and had a lot of questions and exercises that help the reader see things from their spouse's standpoint. For me this is one of the only books I've read and almost continually been learning about myself. I have noticed a drastic improvement in my happiness and I hope also my attitude towards others since I read this book.If for anything else read this book to gain insight into yourself and your relationships. If you want to work on yourself, it's a very insightful book. Overall I enjoyed reading this book and went through it quickly. I suggested it to my husband, which I never do, and I would suggest it to all my married friends - it's that important of a book for your relationships, especially your marriage.
