Zane had heard the gossip long before he had to go meet with the management. The handbag store he worked with was going to expand into the jeans market and they had decided the creative art department would stand by itself, no longer right under the present director. The new sector was going to have its own manager as its leader. Zane's heart had soared the first time he'd heard about it. He was the only senior graphic designer in the company. Would it be wrong to think they'd offer him...?

Mr. Zane Kotsky?

Yes. Zane nodded and shook the proffered hand and some other hands after that.

Please be seated.

Zane sat down and tried to relax. He wasn't exactly nervous, but facing the chief director and the financial director didn’t happen every day. There was someone else present whom he didn't know. Zane watched her with interest. Who might she be?

Mr. Kotsky, may I call you Zane? asked the CEO.

Sure. They were already on first-name basis. It must be because of the guest that Mr. Downey needed to ask.

Zane, do you know why we asked you to come?

It would sound conceited to even suggest a guess. I can't say I do. He smiled and they smiled back.

All right. The head director, Mr. Downey, nodded. First, let me introduce you to Sandra Pavel.

The third person waved at him from the end of the oval meeting table. Zane waved back.

Sandra is from a business consultancy. As you know, we're going to expand our business. We need a lot of help from experienced people.

Well, that was the rumor that had come to his ears. He wasn't exactly one of
