I can't believe you got us lost!

Kelly didn't look up from the map that was unfolded on the ground in front of her. She was crouched beside it, looking from the map to her compass and back to the map.

I sighed and sat down on a fallen log. This was all her fault. I should have known better than to listen to her.

Kelly and I had been best friends forever. We were born only a couple months apart and we lived next door to each other for almost our entire lives. We even ended up going to the same university. Which is what had led us out here, to this forest way out in the middle of nowhere.
