As a woman in business, Sheryl Sandberg has experienced gender stereotyping and other workplace challenges time and again. She wrote Lean In to highlight the widespread gender imbalance in almost every aspect of life. But what Sheryl didn't expect to notice is that women hold themselves back, often just as much as men do, if not more. By learning the reasons for this, and how to overcome them, you can teach yourself and others how to make the business world and beyond a much more balanced and equal place for both men and women.
You will learn:
· How to stop being your own worst enemy both personally and professionally
· How to defeat your own biases and win more opportunities for yourself in positions of power and responsibility
· What you can do at home and at work to fight gender discrimination.

book
What’s it about?
Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead examines why women are so under-represented in leadership roles and offers solutions that women, men, and organizations can employ for a more equitable distribution of power in the workplace and at home.
The author, Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg, has been on the receiving end of gender stereotypes as both a working woman and mother. Her personal anecdotes, supported by existing research on the lives of working women, offer the hard-hitting fact that women have been holding themselves back for too long. They need to overcome the barriers they’re setting for themselves; sit at the table, not on the sidelines; take advantage of the professional and personal opportunities that come their way; and ask for their work to be rewarded. In order to be treated equally, women need to start by viewing themselves as equals.
The book provides practical advice on how women can address workplace and household challenges, from negotiating pay hikes, and handling pregnancy-related concerns, to managing expectations and enjoying a fulfilling professional and personal life.
We need to banish stereotypes to close the gender gap
Most senior leaders are male, and most women are relegated to household and childcare responsibilities with little or no assistance from their partners. Why have we continued to get
