    It all depends upon your perspective, you see. 

    At first I didn’t understand what he meant.  I didn’t get it.  He kept talking. 

    Infinity is not some line that stretches into the distance.  It isn’t forever.  Nothing is forever. 

    It’s hard to believe now, but I liked him when we first met.  He had a casual way about him, how he spoke, how he held himself.  I suppose what captivated me was the way his mind worked.  It was fascinating. 

    All we have is one moment.  This moment.  That’s all there is. 

    He paused then, watching me, waiting for that last line to sink in.  I still didn’t get it.  I sat, blankly smiling, waiting for him to continue. 

    Don’t you see? he asked. 

    No, I did not see.  I nodded like I was following along.  I pretended to get it, but he knew I didn’t. 

    Time as you think you know it is an illusion.  There is no past, no future.  Everything is happening now.  When this moment is over, everything is over. 

    I think I smiled then, like I was amused. 

    I asked him, So you’re saying that in about a second, nothing will exist? 

    Yes, he answered with enthusiasm. You got it. 

    No.  No I didn’t. 

    I paused, checked my watch. Then I said, Um...We’re still here. 

    That’s because we jumped back to the beginning.  Our perspectives are always jumping back. 

    We all just...time traveled? 

    "It’s perfectly believable that we’re traveling forward in time, so why not back?" 

    I think I laughed then, I’m not sure. 

    I asked, So why don’t we keep living the same thing over and over? 

    Because the physicality of our world and our minds are on a set path.  They remember. 

    I, A set path? 

    "Yes. The path is an illusion, but
