Introduction
Your brain works as a storage device that stores information, not unlike a Flash disk or a Hard drive. There are actually 2 kinds of memory, short-term and long term. Considering that the brain is so enormous, it needs a system where the memory can become encoded and recovered consistently.
Your brain is required to get data quickly, regardless of what it is. There are times where the brain cannot recover the memory that is required, due to poor encoding or problems in the retrieval.
There may have been times where you have actually gone to a shopping mall and don't remember where you parked your car? Or you might have gone to the grocery and didn't remember exactly what you were supposed to buy?
The Memory
Have you ever heard somebody say an elephant never forgets? Possibly someone you know was compared to an elephant-- as in having the memory of an elephant.
The mind can close down memory, temporarily or permanently, depending on whether what it sustained was a distressing event that the mind simply refuses to give access to it. People have safeguarded themselves subconsciously by disengaging the memory. The mind in some cases seems to play tricks on us by puzzling one memory with another. Sometimes this triggers the individual to become incapable to operate in society. What seems to become an issue with memory can in fact become an issue with the processing of info entering into the mind.
Prescribed drugs can sometimes impact the memory, particularly if you choose to incorporate an unsafe mixture. The mind is complicated in its abilities, however without memory it cannot carry out even the simplest of jobs. The body depends on memory to function.
Animals have a sense that permits them to remember whether a person has been terrible to them. They may keep the details in their memory and act upon it at a later time, often unsuspectingly getting their vengeance. A pet being trained for police work has to remember which individual in uniform is its master. It has to maintain sufficient information to perform acceptably in often times unsafe situations. The canine needs to remember many kinds of scents and commands.
Miniature steeds have been trained to lead the blind around noisy, busy environments. The steed must have sufficient memory to pass the required requirements to become a guide animal. The blind individual's life depends upon the memory of the animal every day and night for as long as they are together.
A blind individual must have the ability to utilize other senses besides their eyes. Their memories need to become capable of helping them function in their own homes.
The memory is the storage capability of the mind. Often neglected,
