About this ebook

King Martin has a heart big enough to love men and women. Unfortunately, that's not enough to save him from the traitorous General Thelan.

With rebels literally smashing their way into the castle, he makes a passionate farewell to his manservant.

Once imprisoned in his own dungeon and chained to the wall awaiting execution, he has two beautiful female visitors. The King has no children, and some of his loyal followers do what they have to do to make sure there is someone to carry on his name.

Can his last desperate act of passion be carried out in time?

Set in a medieval age, this adult story has a bisexual main character, a touch of woman-on-woman action, erotic choking, and bondage.

    About the Author

    Heir of the King

Martin the Just, King of the Southland and Keeper of the Jade Scepter, looked out the window and sighed. At only twenty-eight years old, he had been ruling an empire for a full decade. Today, that empire was going to fall apart.

It had been coming loose at the seams for months now, and he’d been doing everything in his power to mend the widening rifts. He had failed. General Thelan, the former head of his military, was hustling a squadron of troops in through the fortress door he had just blasted to shards. Rebel soldiers were running through the courtyard.

Martin could hear Asock, his faithful manservant, gasp as he looked over Martin’s shoulder at the destruction below. Fortunately, Martin had ordered the evacuation of the courtyard moments before, or the flying shrapnel would have cut flesh to ribbons. General Thelan seemed to be a bit confused as he looked around; he was obviously expecting pools of blood and body parts. He had been savvy enough to stage a coup to seize power. He hadn’t been clever enough to make it a surprise.

Sire, you still have time to escape!

Martin turned and looked at Asock with a sad smile on his face. Yes, my friend, I could probably escape the castle. I could even make it to the forest.

You could hide there. You still have friends who would help.

Martin reached out a hand and put it on the side of Asock’s face, gently caressing his cheek. His stubble made it feel as rough as sandstone. He just stood there that way for moment. Asock reached up and put his hand on top of Martin’s. The prohibition of a commoner touching royalty had long been overlooked between them.

    Sire?

I couldn’t really go into hiding. The general would never give up hunting me down. Other lives would be lost protecting me. I’ll stay here and face him like a man.

Asock’s cheeks were flushed with anger. I still believe that it would have been better to let your personal squadron defend you. I would have joined them myself!

Martin shook his head. My loss was inevitable. All fighting would have done is cost more good people their lives.

Asock looked unconvinced, and Martin’s heart swelled with love for him. He really would have laid his life down for his king.

Martin took Asock’s hand in his own. Do you remember that day we first met?
