You had me back when I actually tried to care.
I changed my life just to live your lies
When all I was inside was just so scared.
You’re the proof that you can’t reuse
Something used up and hardly there,
Like every bit of you that I was so into.
You told me I was the one and then the one
That was so unfair,
But who was it that wasn’t
In it from the beginning and cut me down so bare?
Your eyes, so pure, had me sure that you were worth
The pain, but love is just a coat that you like to wear.
