Hi, my name is David; I was born in 1947 and lived in the beautiful county of Dorset. I have been married for 46years to Veronica and we have two daughters and five grandchildren. My family are my biggest fans for my stories. Having been born just after the war, like most people around the country, these times were very hard for every family. As I was the youngest of six children, our home was a two up and two downtown house, which did not have electricity just gas. When playing I had to use my imagination. This has given me great imagination for my children stories. I love being outdoors, and love country walks. If I get the chance I like to go swimming, or go out on the water. I like to travel and to hear about places around the world, there are so manly place I would still like to visit. But I do have some of the best things in the world right on my doorstep. Like the Jurassic coast on which runs from the outstanding natural harbour at Poole to Exmouth in Devon. This part of Dorset and Devon is natural geological World Heritage Site. There are lots of sandy beaches and very rocky bays all along this coast, which I think are as good as the best beaches in the world. Also we have the New Forest right next door, all these areas are great for children to learn about nature and have safe fun while exploring.###

Prologue
A long time ago the Great Wizard gave twelve oak trees the power of magic, so they could turn themselves into an Enchanted Library. They asked the Great Golden Crested Woodpecker if he would hollow out the oak trees to making many rooms, so they can house all the books on magic. As the woodpecker finish each room, some of the books in the magical kingdom, came to life. Books from every corner of the kingdom started moving towards the enchanted library. Some of the books turned their covers into wings, and flew all the way to the library, while many of the other books used their covers as legs and walked. The rest just let the magic in the air carry them, floating just like clouds in the morning sky. When they arrived at the enchanted library, the branches raised up into the air letting the books into the library.
The Enchanted Library needed librarians to look after all these books. They set about making a very special group of lovable and homely creatures, by using some very magical acorns; these enchanted librarians were called the Delfs.
Many years later, the Queen of Magic wanted to have more magical power, but when she asked the Great Wizard, he refused to give her the magical words, so she could use the Great Book of Magical Spells; she banished him from the magical kingdom. Next, she asked the Delfs, when they also refused, she cast a
