Lilith stared down the street. It was dark out, but the darkness didn't mean much to a demon, a denizen of the kingdom of Hell.

It was a quiet, suburban street, and no one was out. A family kind of place, where parents come to raise their kids—or where people who wish they had kids would live.

And that's who Lilith was interested in.

Her house was on the street corner. It wasn't very big, but, then again, she was the only one who lived there. She didn't need a whole lot of room. There was a nice little garden out front, with a couple flowers and maybe one or two vegetable plants. It was a cute little place, cute enough that it almost made Lilith sick. But it only reinforced the idea that she was the right one. She was the right receptacle for Satan's seed.

The plan was simple. Lilith already had Satan's seed buried deep inside, planted just earlier that evening by the Prince of Hell himself. Now she just had to put it inside a human host, who would then raise the kid as her own, not knowing that the kid would grow up
