Jill straightened out her skirt and checked her watch as she got on the elevator. Her meeting with Marc Fuller was in three minutes. She would be right on time.

She pushed her glasses up the bridge of her nose as she waited. The paperwork was secure underneath her arm. All she had to do was go in, get the papers signed, and the merger would go through, and she would be done with this project. The entire thing had been a complete mess, and she was ready for it to be over.

She had heard horror stories about Marc Fuller, about how he was stubborn and argumentative and liked to always get his way. Jill had prepared for that. She was undoubtedly beautiful, despite being stern and a bit of a hard-ass. She had no problem using everything at her disposal, from bullying to short skirts, in order to get what she wanted. She hoped that she didn't have to play that game with Marc, but she always hoped that. People didn't like to give her what she wanted, and she doubted that Marc was going to be any different. Maybe he'd actually respect her as a person and sign the damn paperwork...but likely not. He'd probably be as stubborn as he was rumored to be.

The project wasn't a mess for no reason, of course.

The elevator dinged as it reached the appropriate floor. She stepped off and studied the sign on the opposite wall. Marc Fuller, to the left.

She eventually was met with a pair of heavy wood double doors. She stopped for a moment in front of them, trying to decide whether to knock or just let herself in, before realizing that there was an extremely small doorbell off to the right. She pressed it.
