Chapter One

It was a long flight back to California. Tyler and Jamie slept most of the way. Alexandra looked at Rapture as he sat there looking out the window as they rode in the limo back to their house. A part of her wished that Drake and Dante wouldn’t ask so much of Rapture. It took a lot out of Rapture to help the wounded souls that came into their house. She hated seeing him go through this. Yet, another part of her was so proud of Rapture. The way he could heal these people was amazing.

Tyler was snuggled against Jamie. Alexandra noticed he tended to cling to Jamie a lot. Something truly awful must have happened to him. He seemed to be far worse than Leon was, but it was too early to tell. This bothered Alexandra. Rapture needed Drake’s help with Leon. What was he going to do alone with Tyler? Jamie on the other hand seemed strong. She had been through quite a lot herself. It showed on her pretty face. Yet, she had such a strong inner strength to her. Falcon didn’t completely break her.

Baby, we’re home, Alexandra said as she touched Rapture’s knee.

Finally, Rapture sighed.

The servants rushed up to the car and greeted them. Alexandra led Jamie and Tyler into the house. Their home wasn’t as lavished as Drake’s, but it suited them. Hell, Drake bought this home for Rapture and all the surrounding land giving them plenty of privacy. She had to admit Drake was one hell of a man. Of course to her no one was better than Rapture, still Drake was something special.

This will be your room, Tyler. Jamie, your room is right next door.

Tyler grabbed a hold of Jamie tightly.

I think it would be best if Tyler stayed with me for a little while. If this is okay?

Of course it will be. Now you two get settled in. Master Dante had some clothes sent over for you. I think they are in your rooms already. Wear what you like.

Jamie waited for Alex to leave the room then she set Tyler on the bed. I think we will be safe here.

How do we know it’s not just another one of Falcon’s test?

We don’t. But you saw how angry Master Falcon was. He sold all of us advance slaves off.

Trainer was the one who sold Leon to Rapture. We didn’t do anything.

I know. I’m glad Master sold us.

Yeah, but we were almost worthy.

Worthy of what? Jamie asked as she went over and looked out the window.

Master’s love. You saw that woman in his office. She looked so happy sitting there by Master’s feet.

Jamie turned back to him. Look at you. You are afraid of your own shadow. Master did this to you.

No, Trainer did this to me.

By Master’s command.

Trainer took me and you off the streets. He promised that we would be safe. Do you remember that?

Yes. Tyler looked to the ground.

That was a couple of years ago. Look what he did to us.

But Master…

What about him? He allowed Trainer to torture us like that. Make us worthy of his love, he said. I didn’t ask for his love in the first place, you didn’t ask for it. And Leon didn’t even know Master Falcon existed. He wasn’t there long enough. And yet, Master sold all of us off because Leon was taken from him. I don’t understand why. Do you know why?

No.

Trainer abused Leon so badly. Leon was already a shell when Trainer acquired him from that other guy. You know why Trainer abused Leon like that?

I’ll tell you. Master wanted Leon and told Trainer to speed up his training. Two years we suffered under Trainer and yet we still weren’t worthy. Leon was only there for what a month or two, if even that. What made him so special?

He is beyond beautiful. I thought you didn’t care about Master’s love.

I don’t.

Then why are you getting so angry.

I don’t know. I want to know why we are here. Why did that Master Dante buy us from Trainer? Why did that Bazil care what happened to us? What kind of man is this Rapture? Jamie sat down on the floor and brought her knees up to her chest, hugging them tightly. She was so close to being worthy of Master Falcon’s love. So close then that Dante bought her for Bazil. Damn him and damn Trainer for selling Leon."

It’s alright. Look at it this way. No more beatings, no more being used, no more humiliation. Tyler sat down beside her.

No more Master.

Jamie…you said you were glad to be out of that house.

Glad for you, Tyler. Anyways, you’re right we don’t have to be abused by Trainer no more.

I’m tired. Sleep with me.

Tyler helped Jamie up to her feet and they went to the bed. They lay there holding each other. Tyler fell asleep right away. Jamie just looked up at the ceiling.

Something isn’t right, Alex, Rapture said as he sipped his wine and paced around his study.

Why do you say that?

Leon was afraid, so very afraid of everything. Tyler is to a degree, but Jamie…she seems angry. He turned to Alex. Almost like she wanted to stay with either Dante or Falcon.

Maybe she is just angry with everything. I would be if I was treated the way she was.

Still…I wish I could just come out and ask her.

Then ask her.

It’s too soon.

I think you should talk with her. Alex turned to the sound of someone knocking on the door.

Come in, Rapture said.

Jamie timidly walked in. Her gaze stayed on the floor.

Is everything alright? Rapture asked.

What do you plan on doing with me and Tyler?

I will help you heal.

Then what? Sell us off to someone else, use us, kick us out…what are you going to do? You gave Leon to Master Drake.

Leon wanted to stay with Master Drake. More to the fact, he wanted to stay with Ecstasy. Rapture set his wine glass down and slowly walked over to Jamie. I want to help you heal that’s all. What you do afterwards is your choice.

Bullshit, Jamie growled as she stepped back from Rapture. You want to purify me and Tyler so you can make us serve you or you are going to sell us. Don’t give me this crap that you only want to help us.

Purify?

Take away Falcon’s training.

What Falcon did was wrong, Jamie. Someone must give their submission, not be force to give it.

Trainer said there are people who are just worthless that they were only put on this earth to serve. I was almost worthy until that Dante purchased me. Jamie couldn’t contain her anger.

Worthy of what?

Master Falcon’s love. Jamie started breathing hard. Keep Tyler, he can’t handle what Falcon does.

Jamie, you must calm down. I don’t understand what you are telling me.
