About this ebook

Mary and her crew crash lands on a planet where women rule everything and men have become slaves. At first this seems like a woman's paradise, but when Mary is given a gorgeous man named Sabre he opens her eyes to the hell that Paradise has become for men. She must find out what happened to her male crew mates and deal with what she sees all around her. Her growing love for Sabre further complicates everything.

Sabre's only mission was to become a pet to one of the high council members, but he is given to Mary by the Queen. He finds himself quickly feeling things for Mary that he has never felt before. He had grown so use to women using his body that Mary's tenderness and compassion is almost overwhelming to him. He soon finds himself trusting her enough to tell her about the Rebellion and its leader Cyrus. But will she be willing to risk everything to free the men of Paradise?

Nice story, tied up loose ends. Fairly straightforward with good vs. evil, the evil is a little cartoonishly evil.

Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely - Historian Lord Acton

Chapter One

Hey Mary, come up here, you have to see this, Gregory said. Within moments Mary entered the cockpit. Paradise, Gregory said as he pointed to the small planet.

Wow, its beautiful, captain.

That it is. Gregory was happy to see the small planet. It had been a long journey here from Earth. He and his small crew comprising of his copilot Frank Evans, the ships doctor Ronald Muller, the geologist Brian King and his assistant Mary Myers were sent out to explore new planets for mining possibilities. It was by pure luck they found this one, some of the traders at the local outpost talked about this small planet, which was simply named Paradise. What puzzled Gregory was the warning the traders gave about no man should ever set foot on this planet. This planet had life on it; the last little planet they explored was quite barren, so Gregory was willing to take a chance. After all he heard that women ruled on this planet, the chances were good that they were less likely to have a hostile welcome.

Ten long years they have been out here. Gregory smiled at Mary, hell she was only eighteen when they started out on this journey. She was beautiful without even trying. Her shoulder-length brown hair looked so soft and it framed her sweet face nicely. He had trouble taking his eyes off her lush full lips. How he wanted to kiss those lips. But, he was the captain of this mission and he learned long ago not to mix business with pleasure. Besides, he was quite a bit older than Mary was anyways. She was the youngest member of his crew; the other three were in their early forties, while Gregory was pushing fifty.

Mary sat down in her assigned chair as they prepared for landing. She couldn’t wait to have solid ground under her feet. Brian talked her into going on this mission— she would devote fifteen years of her life to it. This planet was the last one, Gregory promised then they would head home to Earth and report their findings. Mining precious metals off of distant planets was quite a lucrative business on Earth. Most of the precious metals that used to be found on Earth have been depleted. So, investing the time and money into space exploration was well worth the wait. Once the mining ships returned to Earth with their payloads the investors saw huge returns on their money. So much so, they could trade their shares of this cargo before the ships even returned home. Finding the precious metals was the difficult part, so small groups such as this one were set out ahead of the mining crews. The whole process took years, but it was worth it.

Bet you can’t wait to go dig in the dirt down there, huh kiddo, Brian said.

Me, what about you, you look like an eager puppy, Mary replied. She started laughing when he did an impersonation of a puppy dog.

I will just be glad to get this over with and go home. I want my paycheck so I can start my own practice back home, Ronald said as he tightened his safety belt.

Oh I hear you. A tropical island with beautiful women everywhere I look, not to say that your beauty isn’t inspiring, Mary, Frank added.

Gee, thanks. I know what you mean though. Mary’s hand gripped the armrest of her chair when she felt the ship jerk.

This little planet has a strong gravity pull. It’s going to be a bit bumpy people so hold on tight, Gregory said as his eyes scanned the instruments.

Mary could tell something was wrong just by looking at Gregory, though he kept his cool quite nicely. She quickly looked over at Frank. The look that he and Gregory exchanged between each other confirmed Mary’s suspicions.

The ship bounced and lurched as they entered the atmosphere of the planet. A loud whistling noise followed by a bang caused the ship to start to spin.

Everyone hold on!! Gregory said as he fought to regain control of the ship.

Mary closed her eyes. Was this it, were they all going to die on this strange planet? The ship violently rolled, bucked and shook. Mary opened her eyes and she saw the ground rushing up at them. Oh my God, they were going to die here!

Romulus loaded up the last of the gold into the cart. His eyes glanced upwards as he saw something glint in the afternoon sun. He blocked the sun’s rays with his hand as he tracked the object in the sky. He gasped when he saw the large dust plume off in the distance. Luthan, come quickly.

A large man hurried over to Romulus. What is wrong?

A ship has crashed just beyond that rise. Let’s see if anyone survived.

What about her? Luthan pointed at the guard, who was busy calling someone.

Come on. Romulus jumped into the small transport vehicle. Luthan got on behind him and they headed toward the crash site. When they arrived Romulus surveyed the area. The small ship was busted up pretty bad, but whoever the pilot was did a good job of landing this thing. Romulus stopped the vehicle then hurried over.

I have never seen men like this, Luthan said, looking over the four men who were unconscious.

They look battered and most certainly will need medical attention. Romulus carefully moved the bits of the wreck ship so he could get at the strange men.

A woman, Luthan said.

Romulus reached the men, all of them were alive. He checked the woman and smiled, she was alive too. We have to get them some help.

Romulus and Luthan gently took all of them out of the wrecked ship and laid them carefully on the ground.

What made you two think it was alright to go off like that? the female guard said as she pulled up in her vehicle.

I just wanted to help these people. Romulus glared at the guard as her hand hovered over the bracelet on her wrist.

Going off on your own is forbidden and you two know it. She pressed a button on the bracelet, causing both of the large muscular men to fall to the ground clutching the metal collar around their necks. I should kill you both, but hopefully this shit load of pain you feel now will remind you both to obey the rules. She held the button for a few moments longer watching the two men writhed on the ground in pain.

After the pain stopped, Romulus slowly came up to his feet. His whole body ached. He looked down at Luthan and helped him up to his feet.

That fucking bitch, Luthan growled. I think she enjoys doing that.

I believe you might be right about that.

Both men watched as several female soldiers arrived. You two stay right there and don’t move unless you would like to squirm around on the ground again.

Thank the heavens, your younger brother got the hell out of here, Luthan said, rubbing his neck.

Yeah, I told him, he was handsome enough to be trained as some rich woman’s Pet. Finally, that idiot listened to me, though why now he chose to listen to me?

He had enough of the gold minds.

No, it’s more than that. In any case I am glad he went. He deserves to be pampered by some rich bitch.

Here’s hoping they just don’t turn him into a Breeder.

A Breeder would be better than the Workers we are.

Not really, I imagine it gets boring waiting around to be used.

You two put those strangers into the medical vehicle then head back to the mining camp.

Romulus nodded his head then headed over to the strangers. He lifted up Gregory. His eyes locked on Gregory’s face. This man was getting on in years and still he looked pretty good, more than that this man was the pilot of that ship. Romulus picked up Mary last—her body was trim and slightly muscular, just like the soldiers on this planet, though her height was a bit small to be a soldier. Romulus found himself wondering what kind of woman Mary was, a soldier, a council member, landowner, trader, teacher…

Put the woman in the vehicle, Romulus, then take them back to the mining camp with you. A couple of doctors will be waiting to look them over.

Romulus did what he was told. When they finished the guard put him and Luthan back to work in the mine. Romulus wielded the pickaxe as he thought about the men in that ship. They had no metal collars, Romulus said, lowering his pickaxe.

What? Luthan looked over to him.

Those men in that ship had no metal collars. That means they weren’t under that woman’s control.

What does it matter? If they live the Queen will put collars on them. Since they are not physically strong, young, or that terribly pleasing to the eye they will be sold to the village women. God knows what those women will do to them.

I want to talk with them.

Yeah right, like that bitch guard will let you within two feet of them.

What do you think will happen to the woman?

Who knows, but I bet the Queen will want to meet her.

It’s time to quit work for today, a young guard said, her hand nervously hovering over her bracelet.

Romulus and Luthan walked in front of the young guard. Both knew they better not make any sudden movements or this new guard will give them some serious pain. Oh, they hated the new ones, they were way too nervous for their liking.

Another guard opened up the steel door then closed it right behind Romulus and Luthan. They were in the Workers’ quarters, at least for now they didn’t have to worry about some woman watching their every move. Both men headed toward the dining hall where about twenty other men were already seated and eating their dinner. Every man here was large and very muscular—they had to be to work in the mines, their curse for having such strong bodies.

Bring me to the strangers, Chiara said when she arrived at the mining camp. It was already getting dark outside.

Yes Miss. The guard escorted Chiara to the medical building.

Chiara looked at Mary, who was still unconscious. Put the woman in my vehicle, my aide will take her to the temple of Ziva. A couple of guards hurried to do what she asked. Chiara was the General of all the soldiers on Paradise, the guards were in awe that she came here herself to check out the strangers. Chiara was a big woman standing six feet tall—her body was rather muscular due to her intense training. She had short blonde hair and was rather attractive.

Are you in charge here? Gregory asked when he saw the tall woman walk up to the cell.

You could say that. Where did you come from?

We are from Earth. We had a woman with us, her name is Mary, where is she? Did she survive the crash?

The woman is just fine. She is being taken to the Temple of Ziva, her wounds were rather bad. Chiara looked over the four men. She glared at them as though they were some sort of disease.

Why are we being kept in this cage? We don’t mean no harm as you can see we are unarmed.

Have you talked with any of the males here?

No, I haven’t seen any men here.

Chiara started to walk away.

Hey, please let me talk with your leader. Gregory pounded on the bars when he saw Chiara leaving the room.

Holy crap, did you see the size of that Amazonian woman? Frank asked.

We have to get to Mary. How do we know they won’t hurt her? Brian added.

I will think of something to get us out of here. They are probably just being cautious. We could be a band of raiders for all they know.

We don’t have any weapons on our ship, Brian said.

Gregory came up to his feet when he heard the large metal door slowly open. He was expecting to see that large woman again and was surprise to see a goliath of a man enter. A small female guard escorted him in.

Remember Romulus, our bargain. She smiled at him as she licked her lips.

Romulus waited for the guard to leave then he went over to the cell. Tell me where you are from.

"We are from Earth. Your name is Romulus right? I
