    Lisa flattened her nose against the living room window. It was raining outside and it was Saturday morning. She didn't have to go to school and it was all wet and rainy and grey outside. The puddles in the driveway had bubbles floating on them. It was going to rain for a long time. Her grandfather had once told her, 'If you see bubbles floating on water during a rainstorm, it's gonna be bad weather for a long time.' There it was plain as her nose on the glass, bubbles all over the puddles.

    Mommy, Lisa called, her nose still pressed to the glass.

    No answer came from the kitchen.

    Lisa turned her head as far as she could to the left without taking her nose off the cool glass. She knew her mother was in there working because company was coming tonight.

    Mommeee, Her voice was louder this time and she put a little extra emphasis on the 'meee' when she said it.

    What is it Lisa?

    There's nothing for me to do, Lisa sighed.

    Her mother's voice came back from the kitchen.

    Lisa I am very busy now.
