Makes any celebration more fun. Alcohol has the ability to lower inhibition thereby removing barriers between people. Those who are under the influence of alcohol hold back less and are more sociable. This makes alcohol an ideal part of a social gathering and celebration.

Relieves stress. People under stress or are bugged by problems find it worthwhile to take a sip or two from their favorite bars once in a while because the environment, aided by alcohol, provides an ideal setting for a pleasurable get-together. The distraction caused by alcohol provides a temporary escape to stressors and problems in life.

Because it has already formed a habit. Unfortunately, some people drink because it has already been incorporated in their weekly or daily schedules and has formed a habit in them. Some even drink because their habit has already turned into an addiction.

Here are the symptoms of a hangover:

Muscle pains and headaches.Hangover is generally characterized by muscle pains that resemble pain associated with prolonged muscle use and a throbbing pain in the head that is aggravated by movement and by exertion of force. The muscle pain is due to the lactic acid buildup in the muscles while the headache if caused by the buildup of adenosine in the brain associated with intoxication.

Lethargy and fatigue. The morning after heavy alcohol intake, a person may feel sluggish and have a general feeling of tiredness. This may be partly due to hypoglycemia or decreased blood-sugar level and to the decreased production in endorphins.
