Finally, Cindy Tyler said as she pulled into her driveway. The thirty-three year old blonde didn't bother with the garage. She parked as quickly as possible, grabbed her handbag, and hurried inside. The house was unusually quite. This is going to take some getting used to.

Cindy had just dropped off her daughter at college. Andrea was a freshman at a university in the next state over. If she'd had her way, her daughter would be either on the East or West coasts. As far from her boyfriend Jake as possible.

Dodged that bullet, she said, pausing in the kitchen, just to the right of the front door.

Speaking of, she said, pulling her breast pump from under the kitchen island. She'd recently helped a childless couple by being their surrogate, giving birth to a baby girl. As proud and happy as she was for helping them, weaning herself off the breast pump was pure hell. I have to really knuckle down and be strong.

She'd spent the last five months using the excuse she was too busy helping her daughter get ready for college to really put any effort into weaning herself. It had been easier when Andrea was a baby, since it was a long weaning process. As a surrogate there was no breast feeding, so she was expected to stop cold turkey. Yet, even the doctor admitted her milk production was extraordinary. She'd never seen anything like it before.
