Liberty could not understand why she couldn’t just let go. She wants to love and be loved but there is something stopping her from taking the leap. She knows what it is.
Liberty just can’t admit it to herself; you never forget your first love, especially if he was a monster.
She needs reassurance that Mark is different. She needs to know that Mark won’t hurt her the way David did. Liberty hates that she gave him so much control over her life. It has been 10 years since the break up and he is still controlling her. Will she ever be able to break his spell, she wants to be with Mark so bad, she just can’t trust her decision making ability."
Chapter 1
It’s girl’s night out and I am looking forward to hanging out with my friends, it has been a long work week and I want to let my hair down.
The girls and I are going to a hot new restaurant called Cyclones, I hear the margaritas are good and strong and the guys are hot.
Not that I am out trolling for men, but they are so nice to look at. I have an hour to get ready and I still don’t know what I’m going to wear.
I do this all the time, I am such a procrastinator.
I turn on my CD player and my favorite artist Jay Z comes blaring out of the speakers, I start singing
along with HOV(that’s what I call him) as I get dressed until my cell phone rings.
It’s my friend Crystal, asking if I am even close to being ready and I tell her to give me 20 minutes.
I finally decide what to wear, a black dress with a semi-plunging neckline that hugs my breast like it was especially made for me, the dress has pockets, I love pockets and it
