      Joe (31) and Tom (35): The Big Fight

      Joe is lounging on the sofa again, a cigarette casually hanging from his thin lips and the sports new blaring from the TV. The man reeks of sweat and exertion. Tom balls a fist.

      If you don't get off your ass immediately and coaster that beer, I will fucking murder you.

      The shadow of a thin man stirs no fear in Joe. This threat has been made before. His emotions won't even rise at something as insignificant as his partner informing him of eminent death due to lack of a paper covering. There's no chance of anything going down anyway. Tom is a fucking pussy.

      One fist posed, Tom decides that today is the day. He rolls back one arm and tenses the muscles. He swings and connects. It's a strike with no spare in sight.

      Joe goes flying forward. His floppy brown hair flows out around him. The man would have hit the carpet safely if it hadn't been for the coffee table in the way. Blood flows a little from the cut that forms on his head as he lies on the light brown carpet with his eyes closed. Tom actually squeals in shock.
