Introduction

When you have reached the age of 40, if you find yourself single, or you have not been on a date for a long time you may decide to find that serious relationship or elusive true love at this age.  It is possible to do so if you focus your intention and remain positive minded.  Years ago, single or unmarried women over the age of forty would have been known as spinsters. Now, our longer life expectancy means there's plenty of life ahead after reaching the age of forty. This, added to our youthful attitude and a greater number of aging singles in the population, makes it more likely that those who want to meet someone and marry after the age of forty actually will do so.

One of the recurring events many women have in their lives is relationship breakups. Whether a marriage ended in separation or divorce, or a significant relationship ended due to infidelity, trust issues, or for financial reasons women are emotionally affected.

Often, my female clients will say the reason for the breakup was that their partner fell out of love with them, and their partner wanted to look elsewhere to meet someone new to date and fall in love with. The emotions we feel for our partners stay with us even when a relationship ends, and can cause a real disconnect in the next relationship if they are not processed in a calm and structured way. Sometimes moving on to someone new will not lead to love, especially if the process of separation from a former partner has not been completed sufficiently, or the new partner falls short of your expectations. These issues need to be processed carefully before proceeding to find a new partner.
