Ansley and Skip frequently talked about their good experiences with other couples, as well as the two very special singles. They also had a few experiences that weren’t so great, but they weren’t terrible either; they were nothing special. Because of the approach the two of them employed – being smart and doing their homework – Ansley and Skip had not been surprised by anyone who showed up to meet them. So many other couples had repeatedly been surprised, never learning the lesson. That wasn’t something Skip was willing to suffer; Ansley trusted him to ensure they never would.

She told Skip that her motivation in the Lifestyle was to have fun, to have an extraordinary experience, or, at a minimum, not to have a routine and functional encounter. She wanted some excitement. Skip responded letting her know that he was appreciative of the variety of their encounters.

He said it to Ansley many times. It was always exciting to him. Yet, he understood full well the differences between men and women. He truly felt fortunate that his wife, his love, understood that difference, too.

Over dinner at home one evening, Skip asked if Ansley had spoken to any of their new fun friends lately.
