About this ebook

Having a cough is a very common issue suffered by most people at least once a year. Coughing is necessary in order to expel foreign masses and aggravating mucus from the airways of the lungs and trachea. As you may know, coughing is rather a symptom than an illness. The membranes lining the entire respiratory tract are extremely sensitive and react to infection or inhaled particles by generating mucus, which is subsequently coughed up.

Coughing can be caused by a myriad of infections such as a cold or tonsil infection, chemicals in the air, excess catarrh, viruses, asthma, foreign matter which constricts the airways, inflammation, allergies, and many other things. The color of the mucus or phlegm can help to identify the character and extent of irritation or infection.

A dry cough is an indication of mucus that comes from constriction of the airways, infections, or other chemicals and irritants in the atmosphere. A wetter cough that is loose is caused by inflammation of the bronchial tubes that comes from allergies or infection. A chronic cough lasting more than 10 days or returning frequently, which is worse at night-time, and is hard to get rid of is an indication of a more serious problem such as asthma.

In this book we will go over the different types of cough, what exactly to look for when diagnosing a cough, and how to treat it from home. A lot of time, energy, research and love went into the making of this manual; and it is the purpose of this manual to provide you with the easiest, safest and healthiest home remedies for cough.

It is my hope that you, the reader, achieve the solution to your problem, and I know that you will have great success once you have read through the entire manual and applied these simple home treatments for cough.
