Becoming a Transformational Leader - Patrick McGrew

WOW!!! Pastor Patrick McGrew, by the grace and inspiration of God, has blessed the body of Christ and the Kingdom of God, with a devotional book that is biblical, practical, transformational, and inspirational. That is no small feat.

While reading this devotional you’ll discover that your knowledge of the Bible will increase; your walk with God will draw closer; your discipline, daily habits, and time management will move toward excellence; your vision, focus, and pursuits will be godly, clear, powerful, and purposeful; and the end result is your life will be in the process of being transformed and changed. I anticipate providing a copy of this devotional to the leaders in our congregation and our membership.

The theological and business training acquired by Pastor Patrick are clearly evident and merged in this devotional to the betterment of God’s people who are in desperate need to learn of Him and to live fruitful, productive, orderly, and disciplined—business-like—lives. If one reads this devotional for 31 consecutive days and applies its teachings, it will be impossible to not make quantum leaps forward on the road of transformation that we all so desperately need. Pastor Patrick is a brother beloved and son of mine in the ministry. I am so proud and thankful for him.

    Introduction

Everyone has a measure of influence. Therefore everyone is a leader to some degree. The question is, Are you leading effectively? This book is a daily devotional designed to impart principles to increase your effectiveness as a leader. Whether you lead in corporate America, a local church, para-church ministry, profit or non-profit organization, your family, friends, or yourself to another level of change or pursuit of purpose and destiny, this devotional will move you to Transformational Leadership.

This devotional places transformation as a core value and objective of leadership. A Transformational Leader is one who instigates revolution, transfiguration, renewal, or metamorphosis in an organization or organism. Transformation is by nature radical. Therefore, Transformational Leaders must be proactive and vigilant in their leadership.

Transformation occurs in people not buildings. Transformational Leaders lead out of personal revolution, personal transfiguration, personal renewal, and personal metamorphosis. Transformation is a journey with designated rest stops, cultured cities, and meaningful excursions along the way. As you are transformed, those around you are being transformed. Before you know it, the it you have been trying to attain will not be as difficult as it seems. Build those following you and they will build the vision.

I pray this daily devotional finds you ready for Transformation Leadership. My mother used to say something that was simple but very profound. In her endearing voice, she would say, Baby, if nothing changes, nothing changes.

Do you desire to see more out of the people you lead? Have you grown weary in leading due to limited or lack of visible change? Have you experienced great success and are ready to go to the next level? If you answered in the affirmative to any of these questions, I encourage you to take the next 31 days and allow God to breathe new life into your spirit. Set aside 60 minutes a day for devotion time with Him. Always have your Bible, pen, paper, this devotional, and above all, an open heart. Begin your journey to become a Transformational Leader and release Transformational Leadership into your assignment.
