About this ebook

In the tenth book of the Godsend Series, Kim Hughes stole $42,000 from the wrong prospective pimp three years ago, which explains why she is still in hiding. The pimp, with the help of an old conjure woman from New Orleans, got to Kim's mother and killed her. Rather than paying back the stolen money, Kim decides to go for the big payback: She hires Godsend.

Echo has an old score to settle with a fat, sneaky bastard; but first he and Kiandra want to meet the old black woman who practices black magic. Why? Because they want to know what she and her damn evil spirits know.

And while in New Orleans, Brian and Needles attempt to arrest the pimp--even though the police are watching. After Brain finds himself riding in the back of a police car, Needles is surprised when she sees Brian working with the cops.

    Chapter 1

Rowland Norris was hugging a large sycamore tree, his cuffed hands barely meeting. It was late January, too damn cold to be naked in the middle of some Louisiana woods. He cursed himself for letting a sexy, beautiful white woman beguile him. He was hoarse now, after shouting and yelling for help for the last hour. He heard the woman and the black man returning, he thought, so it was time to shut up.

Needles took her time zigzagging through the woods once Brian let her out and drove away. Seven minutes into the woods, she saw Roland. He was a handsome black man with a small afro that was neatly faded at the neck and temples. She thought he had a cute ass and nice-size penis, though she’d never seen it erect.

She walked up to him and removed her leather belt. Before I left to check your information out, I asked you nicely not to yell or shout, didn’t I?

I’m freezing to death out here, and nobody could hear me no matter how loud I yell."

Nothing like making discoveries in the wilderness. She stepped back and lashed his bare ass with enough force to produce a contusion on the first try.

Rowland’s ass hunched forward and his limp dick scraped against the tree bark. Arrgh! The pain was intensified because he was already cold and trembling.

Needles said, We talked to Stick Man, and he says you’re only telling us half the truth about the Jamaican. She delivered another eye-squinting lash with the leather belt, this one across the back of his neck.

Rowland head butted the tree and cried out in pain again. Just that fast he’d forgotten about the damage to his ass. Okay, okay! I’ll tell you all about Bamboo.

Needles gripped the back of his afro with one hand and pulled his head back. She looked him in the face and said, I would have shot you in that pretty ass of yours when we first brought you out here, just to make sure you didn’t lie or hold back anything from us. But my partner thought you might go into shock and die on you because of the temperature out here. She smiled at him. Guess what: I can’t believe anything you tell me, so it’s time for you to go into shock. She released his hair then stepped back to put her belt back on.

Rowland said, Lady, I swear I’ll be honest with you. Alright, Bamboo’s real name is William Bartrum. He owns a tattoo parlor down in New Orleans. He used to be a pimp about three years ago.
