In 2007 he, and his son Stephen, recognised that these resources were still relevant today if only they could be updated for the modern technological age. Having convinced yourself that this was true, you made little attempt to use sketching when teaching children.
This was my attitude too. I saw teachers using sketching to communicate Bible stories and Christian truth to children. I observed the children's reactions. They were captivated. But I did not expect that I would be able to use this technique myself. Not until I saw a demonstration by experienced children's worker, Norman Blake, did I overcome my hesitation.
