2ND OF 4 PRACTICAL PASTELS

Although I have lived in several parts of England and Wales, by far the most time has been spent on the southern edge of the Cotswolds, within a ten-mile radius of the city of Bath. I grew up in the village of Batheaston, which is located within three miles of the centre of Bath and it was this country upbringingdraw and paint. As a child I was fascinated by the ever-changing seasons, weather and light that one finds in these rural corners of the world. Having also lived in suburban areas, I now realise that city dwellers are somewhat sheltered from these subtleties of nature.
