    INTRODUCTION

Psychotherapy is a part of psychology that deals with the treatment of disorders of the mind. Are in fact many people who suffer from a psychological disorder, and in particular of some form of neurosis. The neuroses are problems of low and medium severity that do not match the organic, or that are not caused by brain damage or other visible causes. For this reason, treat them with the classical medical systems is not always possible, and here comes in the psychotherapeutic intervention. Psychotherapy is a two-way street that develops between therapist and patient. There are also group therapy, where people with similar complaints are found to discuss their experiences with the therapist. Usually, a person suffers from a disorder manifested maladaptive behaviors sufficiently rooted and is plagued by unpleasant thoughts. Who suffers from an anxiety disorder, for example, is constantly grappling with ideas of concern and fear, and his behavior is sometimes irrational, out of his control. The aim of psychotherapy is to build a path that involves the patient and therapist, a project which will lead slowly to the identification of all those processes of thought and their dysfunctional behavior that the person expresses. Once identified, these patterns of thought and these ideas can be modified. To do so will serve the full cooperation of the patient, who must find within themselves the resources to heal itself, because the therapist did not give orders and do not reveal the mysteries, but it will help to direct their steps on the road to recovery and will support him in his attempts to changing. There are many types of psychotherapeutic approaches, all effective, but they differ from each other in the theoretical framework on which they are based and for the different perspective from which to observe and interpret the problem. There are, for example, approaches that focus their attention on the immediate symptoms of the disorder, acting on them to improve the life of this person, others who want to go deeper and see what the trouble to remove it completely. Choosing the most appropriate therapy depends on what you want when you choose to take advantage of outside help. What is important to remember is that anxiety disorders have a high degree of tractability, that can be successfully treated in most cases. In the following pages will describe the psychotherapies that are best suited to the treatment of anxiety disorders and who have demonstrated over time that it has considerable efficacy in their treatment. These are approaches therapeutic: psychoanalysis, Jungian therapy, Adlerian therapy, hypnotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, systemic family therapy, autogenic training, brief strategic therapy, bio-energetic analysis, transactional analysis, Gestalt therapy, speech therapy, neuro-linguistic programming, client-centered therapy, group therapy and more.

    THE PSYCHOANALYSIS

Psychoanalysis is the result of the work of Sigmund Freud (1856-1939) on his patients who did not respond satisfactorily to the cathartic technique (hypnosis) used mainly by his colleague Josef Breuer. The basic principles of psychoanalysis, which he developed a long differed from previous methods of treatment, because before Freud's hysteria
