Chapter 1: The context and the idea
The objective of this book is to share the ideas along with a few inquiries, which could possibly open up the pathways of reflections and insights to our own thought process. With this, we can recognize new possibilities in living with enriching experiences in our own rhythm.
The idea behind this idea
It is a Monday morning, I enter my workplace, a friendly colleague greets me and makes a humble request to stop saying I am rocking
when someone greets and says Hi, How are you?
I am puzzled.
What he says seems a friendly advice. Further, he explains People do not experience the way you experience and it leaves them with guilt and frustration along with a puzzle - how can someone be rocking all the time, with so much work pressure, so many problems and challenges around
. For me, it is a kind of shock as I have been thinking that, with my self-expression and creating being rocking for people is actually helping them to experience the same. Anyway, I listen to him and turn the conversation towards fun and joy with a promise to do some intellectual thinking around it and share back my next action.
For next couple of days, I become very conscious in responding as I am rocking
, though, I genuinely experience being rocking as a matter of my own expression ever and ever again. Slowly, I start suppressing myself and start being careful and cautious of unknown.
After some thinking - I find that - I actually do not care about others and hesitate to get into their world. I expect them to deal with their own issues in their own ways and not telling it to me. I actually get bored hearing the same and similar things again and again. By saying I am rocking
, deep inside, I expect others to realize - how powerful I am or have
