About this ebook
Perhaps the greatest compliment one can give is to speak at one's funeral detailing how that one person touched not only your life but others as well. I've done such a thing four times in my life thus delivering three eulogies. And then again, perhaps the greatest compliment one can give a person is to write about them while they are living in which case, I have done several times. Here is a collection of selected poems and the three eulogies I delivered. The other speech, one I gave at my Grandma Barbara's funeral, I did not write. Although I wrote a speech for her funeral, I did not say one word on the paper and instead just spoke about a great woman in whom I thought the world. Being that I cannot duplicate what I said at her funeral, I don't think it right to give that speech here. I mostly forgot about these poems but am satisfied with their words.

I'm married to the most beautiful girl in the world (she's making me type this while staring over my shoulder with a knife to my head). But she really is : ) Pablo, the vicious chihuahua, keeps me busy constantly. I've published four books which are all available through Kindle, Nook, Ipad, and all the other electronic devices as well. I have a half dozen other projects I've been writing on for some time now and will find time, at some point in my active duty Naval career, to finish them. So go buy one of them or all so I can do that!

Mr. Jim’s Eulogy
Very few times a person crosses your path that affects you so deeply. Many people come into our lives a faceless wanderer never once again remembered and long forgotten. Jim Powers has never been one of these people. He had an ability to talk to anyone, friend or not, for what could be hours-for all of us here, we know an hour, or two, was a light and quick conversation with Jim Powers. He never had an unkind word or deed to say or do unto anyone. For those fortunate enough to know Jim Powers, you knew no friendship could be better. A loyal friend always, it wasn’t uncommon for him to take in his fellow man in his time of need. No matter where Mr.
Jim was in life he always made time for his family and he always made time for his friends.
He worked hard in every goal he pursued throughout his life. His friends at the Mississippi Port Authority, where he labored for eighteen years, will all speak highly of their fellow employee and friend and
