Author’s Note
Life is full of highs and lows. Something good happens and we’re jumping for joy. Something terrible happens and we plunge into the depths of sadness, anxiety and despair. That’s life….
Moods are part of life and usually we experience a range of moods within a single day. We have all sorts of thoughts, feelings and sensations.
Depression is different. The ‘low’ and ‘down’ part of depression is more intense and will last longer. When a person is depressed, they won’t necessarily respond easily to attempts to cheer up.
Depression can present in many ways and is no respecter of persons.
Over a lifetime, up to one in four people will experience one type of depression or another.
This little book aims to help you with some self-help strategies and support—some seriously simple solutions for you to help yourself.
