About this ebook
So Life Sucks. Get Over It! is the book for people who want to learn more about being happy, along with those who want a good reminder of the things they may have already learned.
Ron has been touched by the response to his book, that some even think it can help almost anyone alive. It seems that Ron hit a funny bone. Because, no matter how happy our life is, we all feel that our “life sucks” every now and then. There are only a few truly, absolute things in life, like death and taxes... and for some, God’s Love. But, there is one absolute thing we seldom consider... but we all seem to know something first-hand about:
Life just sucks... sometimes. Life sucks at times for everyone and there’s no getting around it.
So Life Sucks. Get Over It! is the book that explains ‘how to’ Unsuck Your Life. Read it and learn how you can be happier living your life, and become better equipped for when it does suck in real ways, in the future.
Since the beginning of time, life as we know it has always sucked... at least every now and then, and sometimes all the time! It’s true and understanding how life sucks sometimes doesn’t make you negative, it makes you a realist. So many people want to be happier but they have no clue how to ‘get there’ and live their life when it sucks, at the same time. This book will show you how!
Have You Wondered How To Unsuck Your Life? Do you care about someone that should? For some people, life doesn’t suck... They are happy, content, and busy enjoying their life to the fullest. We all know people who are happy.
Unsuck Your Life by reading So Life Sucks. Get Over It!
What’s the mystery to their happiness? How do they do it?! The truth is there really isn’t a mystery, any magic to it, or a secret formula for being happy... So, what do some people know that so many other people don’t?! You’ve wondered this, too?
Do you want to Unsuck Your Life? Then this book is for you... Ron Hurak’s newest book, So Life Sucks. Get Over It! provides the tools you need to get it right, enjoy everything more, and live your life in a better way, forever. To be happy, it is vital to learn how to ‘be more positive’ about the things that happen in your life, when life sucks.
“Struggling with life sucks. Being unhappy sucks. Being alone sucks. I was alone, unhappy and struggling with just staying alive when I was only in my early teens. I discovered that regardless of how I started out in life my start had nothing to do with how I would end up.
I would like to share my journey with you. I wrote this book to make a difference in the lives of those who think their life sucks. I believe my book has a universal message that can provide the answers to living a life filled with joy, peace, love and happiness.” - Ron Hurak
Ron Hurak
Ron Hurak lives in South Western, Ontario Canada with his wife Kay. They are the co-founders of a successful software development company they started in 1977 and are semi retired today. Ron was born in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada, and his early start in life was not a good one. His father abandoned his mother along with their four children when Ron was still in diapers. Living in the poorest areas of the inner city meant Ron’s early life was filled with hunger, fear, abuse, bullying, and insecurity. By the time Ron was in his early teens, he tried to escape the unhappy life by leaving home. He was fourteen at the time. But his plans didn’t work out well and before his fifteenth birthday, Ron was living on his own. Survival meant many more challenges for Ron. As a young man the world was a very scary place, filled with people who would take advantage of someone ill-equipped to deal with the bleak world he was now thrust into and living in alone. However an amazing transformation was taking place within Ron’s mind. Despite the horrible life he was living Ron decided that he was going to find a way out. He had no idea as to how he was going to accomplish this task, he just knew he was going to do it. All of the evidence clearly suggested that Ron’s future vision of a life filled with happiness was highly improbable. It didn’t happen overnight, but in time Ron’s life started to improve because of his determination to live a life filled with love, peace, joy and happiness, no matter where he was born. Today, some fifty years later, Ron is a very happy guy. He has been married to his wife Kay for over forty years and their relationship is as loving today, as it was when they first met. Ron has achieved his early vision of a life filled with love, peace, joy and happiness. Along with his wife, Ron has many accomplishments including a successful technology business, a wonderful family, great friends, and many extraordinary things he calls his own. Ron Hurak is an accomplished guitarist, as well as the author of this book. In addition to his professional achievements Ron also plays jazz guitar. His CD entitled Be Cool is available on iTunes, Amazon.com, CDBaby.com and many other online stores. Visit Ron’s YouTube page... to see and hear more (just search for Ron Hurak in YouTube). Ron is also an avid, amateur golfer and has an instructional golf video, The Simple 4 Step Swing. It has been viewed by golfers from all over the world hoping to improve their game. Ron has been a public speaker for many years, as well. His presentation topics range from topics on human behavior to technology and business. Now as an author, Ron is sharing his life journey with anyone interested in unsucking their life. His book, So Life Sucks. Get Over It! is loaded with no B.S. ideas and strategies that he learned and now uses in his life. By applying these straightforward concepts Ron was able to take himself out a life of unhappiness and despair, to a life today that he couldn’t even imagine as a kid. He believes that we never stop learning or growing. He is convinced that many people know they want to unsuck their life, but they don’t believe they can and their lives get stuck in an unhappy place. Ron wants to reach people who think they can’t unsuck their lives, because he knows most of them really can! This book guides every reader through a simple ‘plan of action.’ Ron knows this plan can bring the happiness everyone desires. How does he know? Because he’s been there and done that. If Ron can do it, so can you! Ron is certain that a focus on self-understanding is what allows him to live, each and every day, at peace with himself and happy with his life. The only reason for writing this book about happiness and sharing it with everyone, is to help you Unsuck Your Life, too.

** If you could use more happiness, love, and success in your life as well as less stress, worry and pain, then this book has something for you. It’s written in common sense language that is easy to read and worth re-reading again and again. It’s a 'how to manual for life' with examples and exercises that drive home the message. That the author is a huge financial success after living by the principles in the book is not a surprise, but it’s a truly amazing that so much wisdom could come from anyone with such a horribly disadvantaged start. Ron's life is an uplifting, inspirational story that provides not only hope and inspiration, but the tools and skills to succeed in life’s ultimate goal, to be happy. I can wholeheartedly recommend this book to anyone that wants more success, love and happiness in their life. - Kevin Dunivin

** I have always reserved my recommended reading to those books that spoke to me at a level that simply compelled me to tell others. SUCH IS THIS BOOK!It is written by my friend, Ron Hurak, whom I have known for over 25 years. What amazes me is that never once did Ron me his tragic life story in any detail. I was aware of his shattered childhood to a very limited degree. However, once I started to read his book I could not put it down. It wasn’t long until I anguished in his pain.
It is literally a story of rags to riches. But how did he do it? How could the human spirit overcome such personal abuse as a child and reach manhood with such a loving, compassionate and deeply encouraging nature? How was it possible for Ron, at 14 years old, to pick himself up from family abandonment, from total despair and from dire loneliness and reach such a phenomenal pinnacle of success in business. Ron will tell you how he did it and you can as well. It is written in an engaging style that reaches deep inside the reader. This book will help you in every area of your life. Get this book, read it and it will change your life. - Cliff Baird, MBA, PhD

** The information I found in Ron's book very powerful and inspirational. The way Ron lays out his message is a simple step by step guidance for happiness, but his strategies, tools and exercises are very powerful. Wow!
Ron's book helped me realize the source of some of my unhappiness and how important and powerful it is to forgive oneself for all of those wrong choices and decisions we made. Also, the importance of not blaming someone else really stood out for me as well. Ron's book can touch the heart and soul of anyone, no matter who they are or where they are in their life. It is full of hidden treasures that can help anyone with their struggles in life. - Ivana Trnik

Chapter 1 – Introduction
Ok so your life sucks! Get over it! I understand all about having an unhappy life. Even better than understanding... I know. I have been there; done that. I have the T-shirt.For many people their life doesn't suck. They are happy, at peace with themselves and enjoying their life to the fullest.
So, what special gift did they get, that many other people have not.... maybe that includes you?
How come they get to stand in the short line and you always seem to be at the very end of the long one?
Answering these two questions is my goal for this book. I want to share some ideas with you so that you can stand at the front of the line, and the line will be a line you created for yourself and one where you are always right up front. I want you to be happy!
This book is a simple guide that compiles some of the best tips I have received through the years from an assortment of fellow souls I was privileged enough to meet as I journeyed through my life. These are good ideas that I want to pass on to as many people as I can so that they may find the same value in them as I did.
Over the years, many people have suggested I write down these bright ideas, affirmations and philosophies for living, in order to share them with others. I have always resisted any notion that my approach to living would be of any interest to someone other than myself. But hey, I am a happy guy so here's goes!
My sincere wish is that there is a tidbit of wisdom within these pages that might produce the tipping point for helping you with improving your life. I can only hope that the simplified, no B.S. list of ideas within this book -- will help you to unsuck your life!
I have intentionally kept the number of words and pages to a bare minimum. I am convinced that good ideas do not require a lot of preamble or detailed explanation.
If one of these ideas doesn’t fly off the page and immediately strike you in the head as helpful, then adding more words will probably not alter your first impression. This book is not about me. This book is really about you.
I feel for the ideas I wish to share with you to have credibility, it is important to tell you a little about myself. I want to give you some background information about my early life to show you - that if I can have a life that doesn't suck, you can too!

Chapter 2 - How My Life Started
I was born in Winnipeg Manitoba, Canada in 1950. My mother was an orphan who escaped the brutality of the orphanage system by getting married at sixteen, to a man who had no business being married or being a parent. He was but a kid himself, and from the little I know of him, he was also a mixed-up angry person, as well.
Me at three
Four kids later, I being the third in line, my young father abandoned us all. I was just a baby when he made this decision and I was too young to even remember him. He passed away at an early age, so I never had the opportunity to meet him. And although I didn’t until many years later in my life, I thank him for bringing me into this world.
The late 40’s and early 50’s, were not good times for a single mother raising four boys. Social
