About this ebook
Momyhood: The Ugly Truth
Mommyhood: The Ugly Truth is based on the blood, sweat and tears that go into being a mom. A humorous series that provides honesty on parenting, the author used actual blood, sweat, and tears to share her stories in the hopes that other mothers have a laugh, realize that they aren’t alone, and fall deeper in love with Mommyhood.
Mommyhood:The Ugly Truth, Volume One
Volume One shares the ugly, yet funny, realities of parenthood. Shannon Harrigan dares to go off-script from other moms who paint their experience in rosy colors and instead shares the hard, yet humorous, truths of being a mom. From tantrums in public, to breastfeeding debates, and during a constant state of sleep deprivation, this read will take you on a journey through the wonders of Mommyhood.
Shannon Harrigan
Shannon Harrigan is a newly single mother to two sons. She has written guest columns for the sports section of the Hollister Freelance and also has her own blog journaling her missteps through motherhood.

About The Author
ACKNOWLEDGMENTS
I may be exhausted, crusty from spit up (I hope it’s spit up!), un-showered, and wearing sweats that have long since lost their elasticity, much like my post-baby stomach, but being a mom has also provided me with countless stories. Without the two littlest loves of my life, I would have none of these stories to share. In the three short years since I became been a mom, my son have taught me enough to last a lifetime. Without them, this book would not exist. And so, our journey begins.
CHAPTER ONE
Better Than An Episode Of The Real World
…because it is actually REAL. And terrifying, and exhausting, and hilarious, and beautiful. But one thing mommyhood isn’t: like what everyone else has told you. Doesn’t it seem that way with most of life? You prepare yourself as best you can, only to be blindsided by reality…which, sadly, you really just cannot prepare for.
While writing this, my first son (and only son, at the time) was on the cusp of turning two. I began to look back at my two years of experience as a mommy and asked myself, What the hell was I thinking???
