Carolyn Flynn
Carolyn Flynn is a therapist, writer, and artist committed to healing hearts, strengthening relationships, uplifting souls, and inspiring people to create happy, healthy, and thriving relationships. She is helping individuals, couples, and families heal their relationships and transform their lives. With the changes in the economy Carolyn wanted to be able to reach and heal more lives in a cost effective way. She put some of her most commonly used skills and techniques in book form to provide therapeutic resources for those who may not be able to afford counseling or who wanted to have a tangible resource they could turn to often. Almost every client Carolyn has worked with has needed skills on how to express their emotions and get their needs met in a healthy, safe, non-blaming, non-attacking way. She wrote her first book, "SMART Talk: A Communication Workbook for Successful Marriage And Relationship Talk" to provide those skills to the general public. She included ways to heal your past, present, and future relationships. Carolyn's second book was originally going to be on emotional healing, but with the anniversary of the death of her grandfather, and several other deaths occurring at the time of writing, she narrowed the focus to healing grief and loss. "Heal Your Grief" was written to help individuals release pain and feel joy. Carolyn included twelve therapeutic healing techniques for coping with death, loss, and other painful emotions and past experiences. She also included special instructions on how to help children cope with grief and loss. Carolyn's third book "Holiday Peace And Joy: Your Guide To A Happy Holiday" began as a holiday stress-management support group. It was an eight-week course addressing the common stressors that occur during family gatherings, social events, and the holiday season. She put the course topics into book format to help individuals survive and thrive all year-round. Carolyn Flynn is a professional counselor currently providing relationship counseling and coaching to individuals and couples.

INTRODUCTION
I am in the process of developing successful relationship communication.
How many times have you said something with good intentions only to have the other person clearly miss what you were trying to say? How many times have you tried to get your child or spouse to take action or understand you, only to have them complain that you are a nag or bothersome? How many times have you missed opportunities and relationships because you were too frightened to express your feelings or just didn't know what to say? How many times have you tried to express your feelings only to end up in a heated argument or an outburst of tears? If these are your experiences you are not alone. These and other communication problems are the number one challenge couples and parents face in relationships and raising children.
Knowing how to effectively communicate is an essential part of developing a healthy and happy relationship. Clear communication gets especially challenging and complicated when you are feeling angry, hurt, or upset. Verbalizing how you feel and what you need from the other individual can easily get
