About this audiobook

“One of the best thrillers I have read this year. The plot is intelligent and will keep you hooked from the beginning. The author did a superb job creating a set of characters who are fully developed and very much enjoyable. I can hardly wait for the sequel.”
--Books and Movie Reviews, Roberto Mattos (re Any Means Necessary)

PRESIDENT ELECT is book #5 in the bestselling Luke Stone thriller series, which begins with ANY MEANS NECESSARY (book #1), a free download with over 500 five star reviews!

When China threatens to bankrupt the U.S. by calling in its debt, Americans are desperate for radical change. President Susan Hopkins, running for re-election, is floored as she watches the returns come in. Her rival—a madman senator from West Virginia who ran on the promise to nuke China’s islands out of the South China Sea—has, inconceivably, won.

President Hopkins, though, knows she cannot yield power. To do so would be to spark World War III. She needs to prove the election was stolen, and to stop the looming war with China. With no one left to turn to, she summons Luke Stone, the former head of an elite FBI para-military team. The stakes could not be higher as she commands him to save America from its greatest threat: its own President Elect.

Yet as one shocking twist follows another, it may, even for Luke Stone, be too late.

A political thriller with non-stop action, dramatic international settings and heart-pounding suspense, PRESIDENT ELECT is book #5 in the bestselling and critically-acclaimed Luke Stone series, an explosive new series that will leave you turning pages late into the night.

“Thriller writing at its best. Thriller enthusiasts who relish the precise execution of an international thriller, but who seek the psychological depth and believability of a protagonist who simultaneously fields professional and personal life challenges, will find this a gripping story that's hard to put down.”
--Midwest Book Review, Diane Donovan (regarding Any Means Necessary)

The author’s liberal bent has become too much to endure. He is a good writer, but his bigotry and over-the-top stereotypes destroy the narrative. He is officially on my “do not read” list.

Man K.C. Kelly is a spectacular narrator! Thank you for making these books entertaining and alive. Mr Mars, brilliant writing, it feels like I know the characters in these books. Really enjoyable.

Wow considering what just happened in American politics this book seemed to foreshadow something but just switch the parties up?

My least favorite of the Luke Stone series. The overall political plot left me several times saying "oh c'mon!!" Luke becomes a somewhat detective at the same time. I'll save anything else so as not to give away the secrets of the story. Love the series. Not this one.

I have listened to all of these in the series and enjoyed them. Honestly though, this one feels as if it was ghost written by AOC and Mao. All the current talking points are bundled together and it takes away from the story. If the authors political ideology wasn’t so overt in the script, this would be a better book.

As with the previous books in this series, I believe this one topped them all. Action, suspense, dramatics, switchbacks from power to powerlessness and even romance. Looking forward to the next book.

I’ve have loved the Luke Stone series until this one. It was transparently slanted and overly political. It is clear that the author was trying to equate this to a recent presidency and it was over the top one sided. Susan Hawkins is portrayed like a level headed woman that truly cares about doing what is best for the country but trying to make her like unto a certain “poor persecuted, oh so innocent” former Secretary of State/Presidential candidate is a little much. There was one chapter in particular where this comparison was barely even veiled. What I would say to the author is this, you do a good job writing FICTION that all readers of this genre, no matter their political leanings can enjoy. You don’t need to cram your personal political slant down people’s throats in the name of fiction.

If you have an ounce of intelligence you won't make it to the end of this crap. I have read all the Forging of Luke Stone books and the first 4 of this series. The first 4 were full of his ignorant political beliefs but not so much that they overwhelmed the story. This one is to much for any intelligent person to finish. I really tried because I like Luke but only made it to chapter 9. I'll try the next one but after this garbage it doesn't look promising.

A decent plot but full of political rhetoric and tropes.
