Genevieve Cogman started on Tolkien and Sherlock Holmes at an early age, and has never looked back. But on a perhaps more prosaic note, she has an MSc in Statistics with Medical Applications and has wielded this in an assortment of jobs: clinical coder, data analyst and classifications specialist. Not sure if am starting to get into a bit of slump since i've been binging the series but this book was a bit dull to me,,, maybe it was due to all the politics and all the secret games but i kinda felt bored and wishing for more action.
I did however love the way irene character's grew and developed during this book, her focusing on what is important and standing up for what she believes made me extra protective of her especially with that ending.
on to the next one ^^

One of my favorites in the series. Irene steps more into her own power and really stars to accept herself. I really enjoyed that!

Also, finally a little steamy bit or two.
