About this audiobook
The charming Viscount does not appear to be entirely human…
Miss Tabitha Windsor is five and twenty, and employed at Howick House as a governess. Since childhood, she has been able to sense the supernatural. Her life alters drastically when she meets a man of the kind she's been told to always avoid.
Viscount Nathaniel resides in his mansion at Scarborough in self-imposed exile when he meets the lovely Miss Windsor. Though he finds himself drawn to her, he has secrets to hide and a dark past that threatens to unravel everything.
In the ordinary streets of London, extraordinary events are occurring. Despite her precautions, Tabitha finds herself caught in the middle of two factions on the verge of war and a darkness that threatens to disrupt everything forever.
Will life ever be the same again?

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5This book was not particularly well written, although the premise was promising, it did not develop as well as it could. What made it particularly disappointing, though, was the audio narration. Whilst the narrator was not my cup of tea, they did an adequate job of presenting the text, but the production values were rather unprofessional. The narrator sounded like they were reading in a cupboard, you could hear pages turning and there were missing segments and also repeated segments which, while occasional, made it difficult to follow. I finished…. But it seemed way longer than 5 hours, and I feel some post production attention could have improved it. But this is just my opinion. I would be interested to hear other readers thoughts.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5The narrator is trying hard to makeup for poor quality of recording. Its hard to concentrate when you hear distant sounds, page turning etc. Story could have potential but I didn't have enough patience to listen through the end... Maybe if the audio was edited (again) ot perhaps recorded again in better studio id definitely come back to it:-)
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I liked the story okay at times it was a little confusing.
