Reviews for Wizard's Masquerade

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I will start by saying that I liked how this book touched on the principle of the fact that not everything in this world is as it seems and not all issues are black and white and being to morally staunch can sometimes not be a good thing. But there were some really weird elements of this story as well.
While the court intrigue kept me listening there were some plot holes. And while this was a romance it seemed like it was mainly centered on her being a palace wizard with an erotic sex scene thrown in at random. My biggest issue with this book had to be the ending:
The way he left at the end left me feeling like he was playing some weird manipulative game and punishing her for not being able to make up her mind quick enough. It wasn’t a great ending to me. And it dragged on. A simple they kissed and decided to live happily ever after at the palace would have been cliche but for me way more preferable to what happened. Unless there’s a second book the ending for me the ending feel pretty flat.
