About this audiobook

I never thought I would have been a teen mom. I also never thought I’d be raising my kid alone.

That’s what happened when I told Boyce Cameron he was going to be a father. He left me high and dry to chase his dream in the NHL, leaving me with a bouncing baby boy and a broken heart.

I swore I’d never love again.

Well, that was the plan till I met him, Brooks Miller. The team captain for the Seattle Skipjacks and my new patient. See where I’m heading here? A big conflict of interest between doctor and patient. So, I pushed him away and built up walls so high to freeze him out.

But seeing him interact with my child slowly chipped away at my

defenses and I realized I was quickly falling for him. It’s been 10 years since I let love in. Can I trust Brooks with my heart?

The answer is yes.

However, it could all crumble in a matter of moments thanks to a secret I’m hiding.

I couldn't finish it. The narrator has a nice enough voice but there is no distinction between characters, especially the Male Presenting and Female Presenting characters. They also aren't even consistent for the tone she uses on the same character.
But the straw that broke the camels back was when the Male lead picked up a pair of the female leads panties, sniffed and kept them. Nope, no thank you.

They book would be better than the audiobook! Probably one of the worst narrations I’ve ever heard. She leaves words out, makes singular words plural and mispronounces normal words. Suite became suit, plane becomes plan and my favorite was great became Gree-At. Most of the book the narrator there is no distinction in her voice to tell who is talking. Editing ist great either as they obvious cut takes together where sometimes the narrator uses a different “voice” and it changes mid-sentence.

The story itself was good and the plot was a little different from others I’ve read. That is what has kept me going through the awful narration.

All they do is have sex and play games with each other. There isn’t a lot of the couple actually getting to know the other.

The book itself was decent. But narration was the worst I’ve ever heard. Every time I’ve read a review that says that, it normally doesn’t sway my decision but this was actually the worst narration I’ve ever heard. There’s no distinction between characters. The times the narrator does throw her voice it’s for the wrong character. It’s horrible.
