About this audiobook

Contrary to what others believe, I don’t think that friends should be lovers. You don’t have pillow talk with your best friends. And you don’t talk about other hot guys with your lover.

I believe those words, the same way I believe that Asher Kinkaide will always be there for me... as long as we don’t become lovers.

I can’t risk losing my best friend--the only person I’ve ever really counted on. After all, I saw firsthand what it did to my parents' marriage when they crossed that line.

Asher says that he wants to build a future with me, I can see it in his eyes when he watches me. I can’t deny the way I burn for him, but what happens when we ignite? All I’ll have left is the ashes.

That sexy veterinarian better set his sights on someone else.

I love him too much to lose him.

Although I’m named after the city in love, I’ll remain Paris, desperately seeking love.

Friends to lovers, the man falls first and cinnamon roll hero.

Paris really puts Asher through his paces because he is absolutely head over heels in love with her and has been for a number of years. It just takes Paris a bit to realise she feels the same. All three girls have to endure the chaos of their mother stumbling back into their life and Paris falls in love with the woman she thought she knew who walked out on them as children. Paris tries everything to make this relationship work but what she doesn't realise is by doing so her mother is trying to ruin what she could have with Asher.

There isn't a lot of steam until the very end! Danielle holds out on this one, and I didn't think it would happen at one point. Asher is the quiet alpha and as Paris describes him, he's an Alpha-Beta, which is just as good as an Alpha in my eyes. He's quiet and stands back but supports Paris in every way possible and stands his ground when he sees her being backed into a corner.
