There were aspects of this story that irritated me a bit, but overall it was really good. Generally I find Piper Rayne books to be reliably engaging with great characters and a good level of steam. Dual narration is my preference and both Tyler Donne and Mandy Kaplan did an excellent job with this story.

Book 3 in the trilogy has held its own! We are once again visited with characters from the past, these brothers just love to mess with each other’s lives. Following Dominic and Valentina’s story is a wild ride. We get a good mix of how current situations are affecting them, and how they came together in the past with a good amount of flashbacks.

The book starts out with a bang with these two waking up in a Vegas hotel room married; who doesn’t love a whirlwind romance? Only we come to find out that these two have a very long and complicated history between them. Life keeps pulling them together and they keep pushing each other apart. With meddling families, life obligations, and trying to protect hearts from getting hurt, can these two work through all the issues that have been thrown out them and find their true happiness with each other?

I thoroughly enjoyed the conclusion to the trilogy, and the whole thing overall. I love Piper’s writing because you know there are more stories being developed that still tie into the same world… and I see we have the Mancini’s sister starting her own spin off series with her friends. I can’t wait to continue reading, it’s always a pleasure.

3.5 Stars for me.

The constant push and pull between the two MCs definitely got old towards the end and I was kind of hoping that they would both move on. Neither one would communicate with an open mind and kept bringing up their teenage past.

With that being said, I enjoyed the story and will listen to the next book in the series.
