When the body of a murdered starlet is found in a Hollywood shrine, Sean Cameron and his FBI paranormal forensics team, including special-effects artist Madison Darvil, investigate a malevolent force terrorizing the Black Box Cinema.Light, entertaining, romantic. Loved the Hollywood theme.

This is interesting because of the past meeting the present. Another individual's who thought they could take another person property and business because of their lack ownership and belonging. Their hate was misplaced after the business has changed hands and the original owner passed away. Still the most painful was the wife was also in on the killings. Which end costing her life in the end. The son of Eddie Archer Alistair Archer was cleared of all wrongdoing. The killers was caught.

A murder of a young starlet which is somehow connected to the movie they are making at the studio (a remake of an obscure noir film with a murderous Egyptian priest, a tough PI, and, of course, a femme fatale).
Sean Cameron was sent to investigate a locked room murder mystery at one of the best studios/cinemas in Hollywood. Movie mogul Eddie Archer's young son was accused of murdering a young starlet. He claims a robed priest killed her. Sean intended to help anyway because he used to work there with Eddie and considers him a very good friend.
Eddie asked one of his friends and an artist working at the studio, Madison Darvil, to help Sean with anything he might need.
What makes this book more interesting than the previous is the help these two get from a very unlikely source. Even with the gruesome death of a young girl, the helper brings a touch of humor to the story. You can choose to look at it either as a great albeit strange thing or a bit cheesy to use such a character in this story. I chose the former. (view spoiler)
Romance is nothing special. It is even less special than in other books. I can say the same for the villain too. The reasons behind the murder were very weak and almost unbelievable.

Being able to speak to the dead is quite useful sometimes. Madison, a special effects artist and Sean, a former Texas Ranger and current member of the elite Krewe of Hunters, had that ability. The only problem was the murder victim dind't know who had killed her - just who didn't. Sean and his team work with L.A. detectives to uncover the truth behind the murders taking place on the set of "The Unholy".
I had read several other Krewe of Hunters books and always found them enjoyable. This one starts off a bit slow but give it a chance.

Fun entry in the Krewe of Hunters series from Heather Graham. The setting of a special effects shop in Hollywood is very interesting, especially because it is located next to an old cemetery with buried catacombs. Creepy and so fun since the main characters can speak to the dead.

In Graham’s paranormal suspense novel, movie mogul Eddie Archer’s son is charge with murder. Eddie falls back on his friendship with agent Sean Cameron, who specializes in irregular investigations. Now a member of an FBI paranormal forensics team, Cameron knows that evil exists. Teaming with special-effects artist Madison Darvil, another gifted individual, they investigate the malevolent force hard at work at the Black Box Cinema.A fast-paced and suspenseful story that will give readers chills as well as keeping them guessing until the very end. As always, Graham has outdone herself again.
