Definitely made for the BDB originals fans! Nothing is added to the overall story arch with the new evil or anything, this tear jerking emotional ride was purely intended for the Qhuay (with a side of Z) fans. I do not recommend this unless you are already familiar with and have read the series as there are no real backdrop explaining or world building for new readers. I highly recommend this entire series and the spin off Legacy series though! I was tearing up throughout most of this book, but it was as beautiful as it was heartbreaking.

It was sad but ended on a high note. I’ve always loved Qhuinn and Blay so it’s is good that they are still as in love as ever. They are great dads and co-parents with Layla and Xcor.
Qhuinn’s history with his family is complicated and sad. I’m glad that chapter is closed.

JR did a great job writing this book. Jim bought it to life. Well worth the listen.
