Amazing book. But I REALLY struggled with the narrator. She's mechanical and not very expressive, sounds like a computer reading it. I ploughed on because the content was so good but I'd prefer to read written version in future.4 people found this helpful

Good guide to the brain and it’s functions, weak on the habits and application.
There was a lot of evolutionary explanation of things, which—while all reasonable, seemed lateral. Perhaps a bit speculative at times.
The recommendations and substance with habits was thinner than the analysis.
In the latter part, the book verged from scientific to some weird diatribes about college campus politics. It seemed incongruous.2 people found this helpful

Book explains why we and others think and behave the way we do and gives awesome actionable tips on improving our habits and feelings. I read some reviews complaining about the reader, but I had no problem listening to her especially since my focus occasionally drifts , so I found her delivery style useful.1 person found this helpful

This book was great - very useful and scientific self- help. It will affect my life. BUT the author went on weird irrelevant rants about how we should be glad and grateful for our society and not try and change 'the system', such efforts being self serving, nor should we even want to know or talk about anything negative. We can help ourselves feel better but having access to basic food, shelter, healthcare etc. is hardly irrelevant. It felt like she had a reactive chip on her shoulder about this and it sadly marred the book for me. There was a bit where she talks about how much happier she is since visiting Africa and learning how shit life is there that was beyond embarrassing. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5

me encantó. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5
