But Juliette will never be free from her lethal touch. Or from Warner, who wants Juliette more than she ever thought possible.

In this heart-racing sequel to the New York Times bestselling Shatter Me, Juliette has to make life-changing decisions between what she wants and what she thinks is right. Decisions that might involve choosing between her heartand the life of those she loves.

I absolutely adore Tahereh Mafi writing style and the world she has created. It's so gripping and interesting throughout, espeically with the character dynamics and relationships.

I was potentially only holding on for the romantic arc and that's probably why I no longer understood what was happening in the story. There's no fault to the book itself because many people rave about the series and I can see why because Juliette really does come a long way in Unravel Me, from the character she was before. She has to navigate this new way of being and survival while trying to figure out who she can trust.

My YA years may be behind me for now.

I love love this book. I love the characters and the plot.

Juliette is probably one of the bravest heroines. Her power is inspiring, her love is so sweet, but her dedication to Adam was a bit annoying.

Adam, Adam, my biggest disappointment, you had such a great potential to become something more, but these days I'm reading this book and realize how pathetic sometimes you can be.

And Aaron Warner, the love of my fictional life, goddamn it, boy, you are hot HOT! This passion, this love, this big heart of yours are just making me love you even more. I love how fun you can be, but also how supportive and dedicated (of and to Juliette). I love you so much, at the beginning I felt sorry for you, but now I realize you are one of the strongest characters I've read about.

And Kendji, my man, you don't have even the slightest idea how hilarious you make my world.

Mrs. Mafi, you created one of the best book series ever created, the world you described is consuming, and the details you put in your books always amaze me!

I have no patience to read or reread the other books.

I really want to give this a 2.5, but don't think it deserves a 2. I picked up and put down this book four times, and the only reason I finished it was because I got tired of logging on to Good Reads and seeing it *still* sitting there in my Currently Being Read novels.

I wanted more from this book, and I'm sad to say the more lucidly present in society and sanity Juliet becomes the more the writing in the book changes from the writing in book one (and all the poetry jammed everywhere) that I was so deeply entranced and entrenched in.

I feel like things weren't well plotted or paced. That there wasn't much growth going on with the characters, and there were these shocking reveals with no lead up and almost no reaction/growing through/thinking about/dealing with on the other side of them either. I loved the disjointed later chapters somewhere in the last 5% of the story, but I, also, feel like the definitive decision made in the last chapter has almost no lead-up to it.

I want to know what happens at the end, but I really don't know if I have it in me to finish this series.

Oh. My. Word. What is this series. Wow okay I totally called a few things, and then there were a couple other things that just came out of nowhere. First of all, I am now absolutely obsessed with this series and I will be immediately buying all of these books. Secondly, there were many unexpected plot points and features that have literally blown my mind. For one, I totally called it that Warner also had an ability and that he would figure out how to use it. I also got to see another side of his character and I really liked that. I knew he wasn’t a terrible person after I read his novella. I really hope to see even more character development from him moving forward. What I wasn’t expecting was that Supreme Leader Anderson is Warner—whose actual name is Aaron by the way (wow)—AND Adam’s father, so they’re HALF BROTHERS! WHAT?! Was NOT expecting that. I really can’t wait to see if their brotherly relationship develops later in the series, as well as Aaron’s brotherly relationship with James (maybe). That would be pretty sweet. Besides those major plot points/twist, one thing that was kind of annoying was Juliette’s constant pity-party-of-one. I really wanted her to stand up for who she was and just embrace all of the different parts of herself. Finally at the very END of the book does she realize she is able to do this (finally, for goodness sake). So I am hoping and praying that this new confidence of hers continues into the next book. I am really loving this series so far, so I sincerely hope that it doesn’t go downhill from here. Can’t wait to read book three! ;)

The declarations of love in this book will have the reader's hearts ripped open. This book is about self-discovery, friendships, love and boundaries. Adam, Juliette, and Warner all discover truths about their world and themselves. They are forced to look honestly into situations.

"you have to deal with who you are and you have to figure out how to live with it." is a quote that exemplifies this book

This is the second book in the series and it was amazing. The series just keeps on getting better and better. In this book Juliette deals with learning how to live with her powers and testing what she can do.

This was such a page turner book and it made me sad that I had to wait a while for the third book.

I loved this book. It's been sitting on my TBR stack for ages and I kept putting off reading it and now I can't understand why. Well, maybe I can, I've got to wait until February for the last book! I read through the book super fast the first time because I had to know what was going to happen. Then, after I finished reading, I went back and reread parts of the book at a slower pace enjoying the story and Mafi's writing. And while we're talking about her writing - - it's so unique and distinguishable. She uses these comparisons that amaze me and make me stop and think to myself just how talented she is. These books have a strong and unique voice for Juliette. I am very interested to see what she does in future endeavors and how she makes those characters stand out.

teen fiction; paranormal/dystopian romance. Not as solid as the first in the series (shatter me) but I could see teens finishing this and wanting to read the third (if only to find out what happens in this terrible love triangle Juliette is caught up in). Personally, I don't buy into Warner's appeal--he's done so many bad things that even if you can see the good, you don't want to go anywhere near him. This second installment has some smoldery parts that I think would keep the teen girls turning the pages, but the first was far better.

This is a joint review of Unravel Me and the Fracture Me novella (so this could get spoilery), because I feel like everything I have to say kind of involves both. I finally picked this back up last night after a busy several weeks and then went ahead with FM because I apparently wanted to be exhausted at work today from staying up until 3am.

I DO find it hard to believe that Mafi says she's never seen X-Men. I definitely wasn't expecting the first book to turn out the way it did in that regard. But I'm not drawing a TON of parallels between the two, and the idea of people with powers isn't really new.

And, yes, Juliett is still struggling to find that inner strength and she gasps a lot, but man, everything else makes up for it. I know a lot of people hate on the metaphors that are so prevalent in these books, but I honestly find them fascinating. There are so many that just kind of leave me breathless, and the visuals are stunning. I love the descriptions of emotions and inner conflicts, and the spectrum of characters and their motives. I love learning new, surprising (some more than others!) tidbits about different characters and how they came to be who they are.

Then there are the scenes with Warner, and one in particular...oh man. He's such a complex character, with so much depth. If this didn't make me Team Warner, FM sure did, even if it was pretty hypocritical for him to tell Juliette he won't "be her project" when that's exactly what she was for him at first.

Unravel Me kind of hinted that Adam has fulfilled his role in Juliette's story, in that he was her first love, and started her on the path to loving and accepting herself. But I think that's all he really has to offer her now other than perhaps friendship. The might still have some sort of bond, and they could certainly fight for the same side still, but I just feel it in my bones that Juliette pushing Warner away won't last long. Maybe that's just a whole lot of hope.

Then, in Fracture Me, we see Adam at his douchiest. Half of his narration is nitpicking Juliette's every move, claiming that he loves her and at the same time saying she's too weak, she doesn't belong there helping them, or she's too this or that. It was super frustrating, especially after all of his claims in UM that he wants to make it work between them, that she's the strongest person he knows, etc. His inner thoughts in FM sure didn't reflect that. I don't dislike Adam, but he's definitely too flaky and I know he's just not the one to root for anymore. I can't fault him for prioritizing his brother, though. That's absolutely understandable. But for someone who makes such undying claims of love and loyalty all the time, it sure wasn't difficult for him to just be like, "Well, she'll be okay. We'll get her later." I love Kenji, but I would expect that sort of "the many over the one" attitude from him before I would have expected it from Adam. Kenji's reaction at the end of FM was actually really touching.

So next is Ignite Me and the characters are all on such different paths now, so I'm super excited to see where this whole thing goes.

Just as great as the first book! I really despise love triangles so that's saying a lot! I love how the story has progressed and I love that we have a new villain. He is WAY worse than Warner! There was a twist around the halfway point that I definitely didn't see coming so that is always fun! Juliette did get a little annoying at some points with keeping secrets and not telling the whole truth. I hope she has grown a little from the events in the book and will redeem herself in the next one. I am looking forward to reading what happens next!

This book blew me away. SO incredibly awesome! Even better than the first. I could not get enough of Juliette and Warner. Yeah, he is the bad guy, but Mafi really soaked us in the tension between those two. I mean, oh man! I just can't say anything coherent. This book is really like no other. We are so into Juliette's head, I mean deep. And that is what I loved. Oh and I loved Kenji to. He was the comic relief, but he was real. Called Juliette on her crap. Maji didn't do so much development into Adam's character, so at this point I am rooting for Warner. I even feel bad for Adam. Poor guy. Give this book a read and be prepared to let it devour you. Totally suck you in. Total mind blow.

Anyway, one caution, this might not be for my LDS friends, tons of swearing and taking of the lords name in vain. Mostly from Kenji. Ha. The steamy scenes were PG-13 as well. So use your best judgement, if you want to assail your ears . . .

CHAPTER 62 ! and Aaron , what a beautiful name for a character like him , he is one of my first bookish villain/boyfriends .Juliette was so annoying at times ( not surprising) but by the end i felt like her character developed and grew some back-bone I admit , the only thing i love so much about this series is Warner (chapter 62 guuuuys!!)

Juliette has escaped to Omega Point, the headquarters of the rebel resistance and a safe haven for people with abilities like hers. She is finally free from The Reestablishment and their plans to use her as a weapon, but Warner, her former captor, won't let her go without a fight.

I love Warner, I love how he loves Juliette, and I hate that I'm sure the author wants her to be with boring Adam, I mean Juliette shines when Warner is around, and don't let me start about chapter 62... though I HATED Juliette by the end of the scene, but now I'm having a huge "fictional character" crush. My small heart can't take it. Warner is delicious!

I always imagine Warner as Jai Courtney and Juliette as the girl in Maroon 5 clip "She Will Be Loved" Corinne Carrey.

Juliette has finally escaped from the Reestablishment but she will never escape the power of her lethal touch. Now she’s safe at Omega Point and surrounded by people who are unique like her, yet to a smaller scale. Life seems to have made a big turn from when Juliette had been kept at the Reestablishment and now can be free to be with Adam. Instead Juliette is forced to make life changing decisions and is haunted by a past which includes Warner and the secrets shes keeping about him. Throughout Unravel Me, a fiction story by by Tahereh Mafi, Juliette is conflicted between many things and at some points it seems that there will be no light at the end of the tunnel. With a war just starting, Juliette is forced to be prepared. I would definitely recommend this story for any middle school or high school student, or to anyone who likes a fictional story. As I first started reading the book, I did think it started slow, but within a few chapters I immediately got pulled back into the characters and plot in the story. Throughout the two books so far I really got to know the characters which allowed me to better understand what was going on and to make better predictions of what would happen next. The whole book leaves you on edge and wanting to know what is happening next. Overall, the characters and plot sucked me into the world of Unravel Me and definitely has left me yearning to read the next and final book of the series.

This story took so many different twists that I didn't expect. My feelings were all over the place. Sad.Happy.Angry.Shocked.Sad... and everything in between.

I hate the turn the story took with Adam and Juliette. My heart ached for him. for her. Then Warner, crazy messed up but yet caring Warner thrown into the mix yet again. My heart breaks for him too. Him and Juliette really are more alike than she likes, more than I think I like. You see I have always always always been Team Adam, and if my heart wouldn't just shatter, I would now be Team maybe Warner. Yes, I said it and I can't believe it. I love Adam, I really do and I hate thinking that she may not end up with him. But I am really starting to care about Warner. Maybe it is because we have seen more into his soul. Juliette and him together, even just speaking, they are teetering on the edge of combusting. It hurts my heart to even write that. Because of Adam. At this point i'm not sure what team I really am anymore. Her relationship with both of them is so different, but still so alike. I can't help but wonder who she is going to choose, I do not envy her.

The rest of the story aside from the romantic aspects were also great. The twists catching you off guard, but then make you go back and question things and realize it was in front of you the whole time. I will be on pins and needles until I can get more of this story!

Rescued from captivity and from Warner, the boy soldier who wants her to work for the Reestablishment, Juliette finds herself in a compound of people who are resisting the government and each have their own powers. Their leader, Castle, wants Juliette and her boyfriend, Adam, to discover their powers, but she knows it's just a matter of time before she hurts someone again. In Shatter Me Juliette learns to trust Adam; now she has to learn to trust herself. She starts out hurting and afraid and begins to grow into a stronger person as she comes to accept her power and herself, and to make new friends at the compound. I enjoyed seeing her growth and coming to see secondary characters, such as Kenji, in a new light as Juliette starts to open herself up. The sequel was even better than the first book, and I look forward to seeing how the trilogy wraps up.

I totally adore this series! Mafi's writing is just, gah, so amazing. It's definitely different, but I love the texture of it, like it's possible to scoop up her words and sift them through your fingers while reading. It brings Juliette to life so well. The bulk of this book was mainly about Juliette finding her inner strength, which at times felt a touch slow, but then a twist rounded out the action and I found myself still stuck within the pages. Also, sheesh, it's rare for me to feel as bad for a character as I do for Juliette. She's definitely gotten a rough deal. But she's trying to cope, and it's no wonder she has trouble after all she's been through. Seriously, I wouldn't be surprised if she'd been rocking in a corner, completely out of her mind after everything that's happened. Anyhow, I won't go into too much more detail so as to not spoil things, but this was definitely a fun read and I can't wait for the last book in the series!

    What an amazing effin RUSH!

Gah.. I don't even know what to say right now! I am reduced to a four letter vocabulary. I want to cry over my broken heart, blush over my lusty heart, rage with anger, and scream at the still unknown! I am undecided.. confused.. devastated. I am so angry that I cannot jump into sector 45 and love Warner like he should have as a child. Devastated that Adam is upset. 5 hours and 30 minutes I forgot to breathe. I am Unraveled...

Tahereh's writing is superb as usual. So poetic
    random
    inspiring.
You could take every single line from this book and quote it.. literally.

But time is beyond our finite comprehension. It's endless, it exists outside of us; we cannot run out of it or lose track of it or find a way to hold on to it. Time goes on even when we do not.

I don't know how to be a verb, an adverb, any kind of modifier. I am a noun through and through.

Nothing in this life will ever make sense to me but I can't help but try to collect the change and hope it's enough to pay for our mistakes.

    Beautiful!!

The covers to these books are amazing!

I think that Julia still struggles through this book with her powers and the aftermath of what happens. She still struggles with her grief and is terrified of herself. I am glad that she is slowly making her way out of her shell. And can't wait to see her embrace her inner Bad Ass!

    Swoonworthy points: 8
SWEET BABY Jesus!! I thought the shower scenes in Shatter Me were hot and steamy, but.. just.. w-wow! Since there is a possible triangle, I don't want to spoil it. But there was one scene in particular that I had to find my nitroglycerin pills because my heart sped up then stopped.

I simply loved this book, and this is my FAVOURITE series for a reason. This edition just solidifies that fact!

Again, this series it taken me by surprise. I am loving it. I listened to the second book on audiobook, and I highly recommend them. I think the narrator brings the emotions to life and it helps with the story.Book two brings so many emotions. There are some twists and turns I was not expecting. There were a few times I had to rewind the story just to make sure I heard what they said right. There are things discovered about Juliet, Adam, and Warner that will keep you guessing how everything will end.I did not know Team Warner was a thing, but I get it now. I think I am enjoying these since it is pretty heavy on the romance end of things. Some people may love that and some may not. I personally think it brings more to the story.I am ready for book three and am hoping to finish this series before the end of the month.

I have really been looking forward to this book. There was so much hype surrounding events that took place and certain developments. It didn't completely let me down. The book wasn't quite as consistently exciting and as engaging as I had hoped. Scattered throughout were "Oh my goodness. Did that really just happen?!" moments and they were HUGE, but I almost would have preferred those moments to occur much more regularly in smaller increments just so I would feel like I couldn't put the book down. It ended up taking me kind of awhile to read this simply because it would get boring and drag a little and then we would have these moments that made me want to devour the story, only to have it cycle back into the drab.

I'm really not a fan of the Juliette, Warner and Adam triangle. Mainly because Adam really irritates me. He just seems far too emotional and whiny and I just don't see the appeal. Kenji is featured much more in Unravel Me and I really wish Adam would have got the boot and Kenji would take his place. Kenji is funny and lighthearted but knows when to be mature and serious. Maybe the next book will make my dreams come true?

Juliette is also fairly irritating. She is just so wishy-washy and nothing is ever black or white to her. It literally seems like she is always in the gray. With that said, her character does make some serious strides and towards the end of this installment I found myself really liking and looking forward to all things Juliette.

The ending to this book was superb. It left me absolutely wanting to read the next book!

I would give this book series four or five stars based on the story line alone. As an xmen fan, I loved this story line. I loved the characters and the weird writing grew on me. However as a momma, I would never let my young teenage girls read this book. (Thus a 3) It was full of colorful language and very intimate in places. I kept thinking man I would not want my daughter to read this and then go on a date.

    Wow. Just wow.

I don't even know how to write a review for this without giving away spoilers. So I'll just say that about half-way through this book I was flabbergasted by the plot twist.

Not a huge fan of potty-mouths in books. I feel like it's a cop-out for more descriptive word choices.

Other than that, I loved it. Even the whole clichéd love triangle. I love it when an author makes me sympathetic toward a villain.

    Looking forward to book 3.
