About this audiobook
Evan Eldridge never meant to be a war hero-he just wanted to fight Napoleon for the future of his country. And he certainly didn't think that saving the life of a peer would mean being made the Earl of Whitelock. But when the life you save is dear to the Prince Regent, things can change in a hurry.
Now Evan has a new title, a manor house in shambles, and a stranger for a bride, all thrust upon him by a grateful ruler. What he doesn't have are all his memories. Traumatized as a result of his wounds and bravery on the battlefield, Evan knows there's something he can't quite remember. It's important, dangerous-and if he doesn't recall it in time, will jeopardize not only his marriage but someone's very life.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is a great story. It has the perfect amount of suspense, and the characters are easy to get to know. I could not put it down. This is a clean romance that did not disappoint. This was my first time reading this author's work, and I will be opening the next book in the series immediately.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I'd give this 4.5 stars. The story is well written and has plenty of plot to keep the reader interested. The characters are flawed but are very likeable. The romance is paired with other side stories that make for a well rounded book. I listened to the whole thing in 1 day.
I had to deduct half a star because I listened to the audiobook and I just don't enjoy Mary Sarah's narration. This book was highly recommended to me and when I found the audio was read by her, I stopped listening. I came back to it several days later after preparing myself. This isn't the first book I have listened to her read. But I have to force myself to do it and can never listen to her read back to back books. Her infection is too over the top. The book has to be really good. And this one was. I will have to wait awhile to continue the series though. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Clean, enchanting, draws you in! Don't miss it! You won't be sorry.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is definitely a great read. I am excited to read the next book in this series.
