The Last Rule of Makeups is the last book in Nina Crespo’s Breakup Bash series. This was another enjoyable, steamy, and entertaining read, and after finishing this series, I definitely need to check out Nina Crespo’s other books.

Nina did a great job concluding the series with Cori’s HEA, especially since it’s a Second Chance Romance, which happens to be one of my favorite tropes. Cori’s boyfriend ends up breaking up with her, and what better way to get over him than to attend the Breakup Bash at Club Escapade with her two girlfriends, Alexa and Natalie? Cori’s not looking for serious and has even sworn off men for a while until she ends up crossing paths with her old flame, Grey Latham, after leaving the club. Grey’s only in town for a little while, so one night with him wouldn’t be so bad, especially since she remembers how he was in the bedroom. That one night, though, rekindles something in both of them and now they both can’t seem to stay away from each other.

I definitely enjoyed this story with Cori and Grey and how two characters get a second chance with one another, especially with how they ended things the first time. Cori had to get over her ex-boyfriend, who didn’t deserve her, and Grey never thought he would get a second chance with Cori, but he had to take care of some things first before he could tell her why he was in town.

The chemistry between the two was instant and steamy. I could see why Cori hadn’t gotten over Grey. He was a sweetheart, and I loved his character. My only complaint is that these two were going to run into the same issue as before if they didn’t communicate their issues, and it was rushed a bit, especially at the end, but other than that, I enjoyed it.

I liked the whole series because the stories overlapped, and each of the FMCs from the books found their HEAs when they least expected it, with MMCs that absolutely loved and cherished them.

Enjoyable Listen!

A fun contemporary romance with some sizzling hot sexy times, as well as some sweet heartfelt moments. I found both Cori and Grey to be easy to relate to and people who I would like to have as friends. Grey definitely knows how to liven up a party. I found the biggest problem the couple faced was a lack of communication. Both not wanting to burden the other. They have great chemistry and know each other well. Now if they could only learn to talk to each other.

I loved the story and the whole series. I highly recommend it to others.
