About this audiobook

I knew it was wrong, but I did it anyway. I fell for him. Hard.

His half smiles and those blue eyes that pulled me deeper, threatening to drown me. But he was never mine to keep. Like all good and rare things, it came to an end. And I erected a wall around my heart to prevent suffering that pain again.

Dimples and gray eyes changed all that. He smashed through my defenses and stole what was left of my heart. Until my past returns.

Now my heart is a war zone, past and present battling for my forever.

They say lightning doesn't strike the same place twice. I have the burns to prove that isn't true.

Who knew falling in love could hurt so much?

Contains mature themes.

I liked the first book ok. But I couldn’t make it through this second one. It’s wordy. There is a LOT of internal monologue and to be perfectly honest, I really didn’t like the main character, Grace. She seemed ditzy and annoying. She would go on and on and on about her feelings and then her actions were contradictory I what she just spent way too much time ever explaining. I’m over half way through the book and nothing pertaining to the point of the story has really even happened yet. Basically, I just couldn’t get into the ridiculous teenage drama. The kids were all so dumb and immature and it wasn’t entertaining to me to continue to listen to how they were behaving. Im usually a sucker for a good love triangle. It seemed like it was going in that direction, but I just couldn’t quit rolling my eyes.

    *Warning. Contains A Few Spoilers!*

I cannot believe that the same person who wrote the first amazing book also wrote this one. The title of the book is spot on because this is an absolute shambles! I loved the first book so much, it was an addictive page turner, full of lust, passion, heartbreak, tears and laughter, this on the other hand is boring, inconsistent, irritating and full of plot holes and filled with side stories that make no sense, or are just plan over the top and unrealistic! Everything that I loved about the first book I hate about this one. Nearly all the character's in this one annoy the hell out of me or seem to have had a personality transplant! I'm not sure if I no longer like Grace, or if it's the narrator who annoys me, or a mixture of both. Grace has turned into a self centred twit! I rolled my eyes every time she spoke, and I wished that Teddy had read the whole thing!
I'm struggling to understand what the hell happened here, I assumed that all three books were going to be fabulous, I don't think I can read the third as I'm so disappointed at the moment! The relationship between Grace and Levi seems contrite, lacklustre and passionate less compared to hers and Sol, so the whole love triangle plot is just pathetic and a way to cheap way to fill out the book. I understand the author may have wanted it that way as a comparison, but I just don't see why Grace would have ever got with him in the first place and I didn't think she'd have been so selfish as to use someone as a rebound just to get over Sol. I can't believe the large amount of this I had to skip because I was either bored, cringing at the silly storyline, or aggravating character's! I feel so ripped off!
