After the absolute disappointment of the second book, I decided to give in and listen to the third and final book to see if it could capture the brilliance of the first one, but sadly it doesn't, but it's better than the second book at least, if not a little predictable.
Maybe the first book was too good that it couldn't be topped. I think in time Autumn Grey could write another banger but maybe not rush it so much and fill it with inconsistent, mindless filler. I see this trilogy much like a firework, book one was was an exciting, wonderous explosion and two and three were the downward, uninspired, damp squib. I don't want to be mean but I expected more from the author after how awesome the first book was. I guess I'd still recommend this trilogy, or at least to read book one.
