About this audiobook
Six friends. One college reunion. One unsolved murder.
Ten years after graduation, Jessica Miller has planned her triumphant return to her southern, elite Duquette University, down to the envious whispers that are sure to follow in her wake. Everyone is going to see the girl she wants them to see-confident, beautiful, indifferent. Not the girl she was when she left campus, back when Heather Shelby's murder fractured everything, including the tight bond linking the six friends she'd been closest to since freshman year.
But not everyone is ready to move on. Not everyone left Duquette ten years ago, and not everyone can let Heather's murder go unsolved. Someone is determined to trap the real killer, to make the guilty pay. When the six friends are reunited, they will be forced to confront what happened that night-and the years' worth of secrets each of them would do anything to keep hidden.
Told in racing dual timelines, with a dark campus setting and a darker look at friendship, love, obsession, and ambition, In My Dreams I Hold A Knife is an addictive, propulsive story.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5"Sometimes you didn't have to lift a finger, sometimes you could do nothing and get what you wanted."
A friend group of terrible people with terrible secrets. In one way or another, I'm convinced they were all complicit. If this is friendship, I'd rather have none. They were not good people at all! And the plot twists in this book... ?
I couldn't have predicted that ending. ??♀️

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Too predictable for me and but I read a lot of thrillers. Some people LOVED this in my bookclub, so it might work for you. Loved the setting
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Kind of like an episode of gossip girl, entertaining but not at all relatable. Predictable.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5WHAT AN UGLY BOOK ? Marketed as a thriller but it is just the boring boooooring story of a bunch of horrible school kids! Who would like to read or listen to lame school students, all they do is going to parties, drinking their faces off, and sleeping around! LAME. BORING ?? I couldn't get through it fast enough. Played at 1.5 speed but it still was DNF material.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Writing was basic but very intriguing - definitely addicting in the second half. I feel like it could have been 10 chapters shorter
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The last few chapters make it worth the read! It really picks up toward the end and I ended up loving it while a few chapters before I was thinking I’d only “like” it.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I only got to chapter 5 and was not impressed with this book…this is a DNF for me
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Riveting. Such a good book. It jumps between present and past the fun, which was really fun.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Its like if Agatha Christie wrote for the CW. With a sort of Clue style delivery.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Seemed like the book went on and on and could have/should have ended long before it did. Good ending and wasn’t expecting the twist.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/53.5 it was a pretty good book. I didn't really know who the killer was for longer than normal but I wasn't rushing to read the book either. So good and kind of bad. It was worth it though. I've definitely read way way way worse! There were times where I just wanted more of that story and a different side/time would start. I understand that's what keeps you wanting more but it made it easier to not continue as quickly. Overall enjoyed it and the out come was interesting ?
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I liked this book because I couldn’t predict the outcome until the last couple chapters which is saying something because I can guess most books. The last 5 chapters did seem unnecessary however
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Jessica Millers characters in the first few chapters almost made me stop listening. But push through if you feel the same. It is worth it!!!!!
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5I thought this book was the worst book I’ve read in years—maybe ever. Each character was horribly annoying and I had no interest in them or the excruciatingly slow pace of this book. I find it so hard to believe that other people liked this book. I am so glad it’s over! Sorry if you are a fan!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Absolutely the best!!! 5 thousand star⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I was on my toes the whole time.. definitely recommend this one!!! Well done.
