About this audiobook

CIA analyst Brynn Taylor developed a new program to combat terrorism, and she invited members of foreign intelligence agencies to America to foster cooperation between countries. Now one of them, Egyptian spy Remon Riad, is missing.

Jack Hudson has been working for the Strategic Neutralization and Protection Agency for almost nine years and takes the lead in hunting down the missing spy. But he isn’t at all pleased to find out Brynn is involved. It’s hard to trust a woman
who’s already betrayed you.

Every lead they follow draws them dangerously deeper into an international plot. Kidnapping, murder, explosions, poisoning—the terrorists will do anything to accomplish their goal of causing a digital blackout that will blind a strategic US
military communications center and throw the world into chaos.

Can Brynn surrender control to a man who doesn’t trust her? And can Jack ever get over what she did to him? The fate of the world—and their hearts—hangs in the balance.

Another brilliant story from the talented Natalie Walters! Some suspense authors focus on the action of the plot, but I love how this author can develop characters and incorporate romance so seamlessly, allowing readers to really get to know their personalities and relationships, still while not sacrificing the brilliant twists and turns in her books! The characters have spunk and I love the cultural references, which make them feel real and authentic. Natalie Walters is also great with the details: this novel has fantastic background with the inner workings of law enforcement and even incorporates Arabic phrases. The suspense made the novel hard to put down, and I loved the themes of forgiveness and trust, too. This novel is an awesome start to a new series! I cannot wait for the next one.I received a complimentary copy of this book from Revell Publishing. Opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.

Natalie Walters is now one of my must-read romantic suspense authors! I really liked her first 3 books, but Lights Out, the first book in The Snap Agency, hit it out of the park! With the perfect balance of romance and suspense, this novel grabbed my attention from the first page and never let go. Furiously turning the pages best describes my reading experience. The book has international intrigue with high-stakes consequences. And it combines the workings of the CIA with a government contractor group with state-of-the art tech. Working outside of the government, the SNAP Agency (Strategic Neutralization and Protection Agency) can do a lot to help with national security. The two main characters are CIA analyst Brynn Taylor and Jack Hudson. They have history to say the least. The implications of their backstories were crucial to the success of the assignment, and I loved how Walters wove their personal and professional roles together. Besides being a very satisfying romance, the suspense is what really kept me reading. The plot is intriguing and the twists just kept on coming. Let’s just say danger dogged Brynn’s every step. There is a definite faith thread that runs through the book. Brynne’s personal struggles may not be the norm, but her dependence on her own abilities instead of God resonated with me. Lights Out also has an ensemble cast that was integral to the storyline and is sure to show up in future books — can’t wait! I have to give a shout-out to Kekoa, a character who had a small role in Walter’s novel, Silent Shadows. He is larger than life in this book, and I am hoping his role is expanded in book 2.Fans of romantic suspense will not want to miss Lights Out. I loved it!Highly Recommended.Audience: adults.(Thanks to Revell for a complimentary copy. All opinions expressed are mine alone.)

Title: Lights Out (The SNAP Agency #1)Author: Natalie WaltersPages: 320Year: 2021Publisher: Revell My rating: 5 out of 5 stars.Lights Out is Natalie Walters first novel in her newest series that intrigued me from the time I read the synopsis until I finished reading the book. SNAP is the acronym for Strategic Neutralization and Protection Agency, a fictional agency that brings together the best and brightest as a team to combat any threats against the U.S. before they occur. The stakes are high, both personally and professionally, right from the start for Brynn Taylor (CIA Analyst) and Jack Hudson. Jack Hudson works for SNAP and has just been handed leadership over a team that must figure out where the latest threat is coming from and how it will arrive before it becomes a reality! Brynn has experienced a lot of heartache over the last few years, and she has taken that pain and allowed it to fuel her passion for fighting terrorism in the states. But can she get all the pieces of information to fit together like a puzzle before time runs out?Jack Hudson has been working hard to protect America as well. Now he not only has to race to stop the latest threat from as yet unidentified people, but when Brynn is added to his team, he has to face the past as well. Jack and Brynn trained together to become agents, but something happened in the past that not only changed their professional trajectory but their personal one as well. Can Jack complete the mission before it’s too late while also facing the broken heart he suffered when she is now a part of his team?Natalie Walters has succeeded again in telling an engaging, high-suspense story that grabs readers from the first page until the very last! I enjoyed the story as it not only focused on the two characters, Brynn and Jack, fighting time and bringing resolution to the mission, but also the way the two were carefully mining their past to see if they could have a future. The other characters in the story brought color to the tale. There is Lyla whose past isn’t quite clear yet, but she knows who to call when she needs something. Then there is Kekoa who is from Hawaii and is a wizard with computers not to mention his cooking skills! Finally, there is Garcia who seems to be in love with Lyla, though she seems oblivious to it. Each of them brings a set of skills that make the team a vital asset to SNAP. I cannot help but wonder who the next central character will be or what the mission might be in the next book, but I look forward to when it will be published! If you like books with action, spies and some romance you are going to love this story. This concentrates on a different agency that helps out the CIA and others to hopefully prevent terrorist attacks. There are twists and turns . Brynn and Jack learn to work together again after years apart. This has everything you want in a romantic suspense novel. I received a copy of this book from Revell for a fair and honest opinion that I gave of my own free will.

Jack is one of the SNAP agents called into help find the missing man. Together they must work to find him, while working through their past. This is a well written story with wonderful intelligent characters. It is fast paced and filled with action and suspense. This is one of those stories you hate to put down because there is just so much happening. This is a nice story that teaches that we need to remember that God is in control as well as learning to forgive and trust others.I received a copy of this book through the Revell Reads Bloggers Program, this is my honest review.

Wow, just wow! Brynn Taylor, Jack Hudson, and other members of The Snap Agency are desperately trying to prevent a cyber attack that could have international repercussions, and there seems to be no limit to what the terrorists will do to achieve their goal. As Brynn and Jack race to prevent a catastrophe, they also have to work through a past relationship and find a way to trust each other. Will they be able to succeed?Lights Out has it all---intrigue, non-stop action, a thrilling romance, and a wonderful faith message. It also has amazing characters that you'd like to have as friends. Brynn and Jack are great, but I absolutely loved Kekoa, a 'giant Hawaiian teddy bear of a man', and I'm hoping that he'll get his own story. Terrorism is such a threat in today's society, and I found myself wondering what was a figment of the author's imagination, and what might actually happen! Did I like this new book by author Natalie Walters? Yes, yes, yes! Will I read the next book in The SNAP Agency series? You betcha!I received a copy of this book from the author and publisher, but there was no obligation for a positive review. These are my own thoughts.

Author Natalie Walters begins her exciting new inspirational romantic suspense "The SNAP Agency Series" with "Lights Out". CIA analyst Brynn Taylor has given her all to creating an anti-terrorism program, an international cooperative of countries united in their efforts to defeat terrorists and prevent tragic incidents of destruction around the world. Just as Brynn is about to complete the program--with hopes of a promotion--a serious issue arises. Remon Riad, the Egyptian intelligence security officer working with her program disappears, setting off intensive defense measures and a massive search. Shortly before he had gone missing, Remon had started to ask her for a favor, but she had dismissed him due to CIA protocol before he could explain. In hindsight, she wondered if what was on his mind was related to his disappearance. The Strategic Neutralization and Protection Agency (SNAP) takes over the investigation, and Brynn finds herself working alongside Jack Hudson, her former boyfriend. Almost a decade ago, Jack and Brynn's relationship--personal and professional--had been severed by Jack's belief that he had been betrayed by Brynn. For reasons of her own, she hadn't tried to explain the truth of the situation to Jack. Now, here they were face-to-face, on a critical mission of world security, and an underlying tension sizzled between them. They must put their personal differences aside and focus on the matter at hand--global security. After all is revealed, and if they survive, will there be forgiveness and new hope for an unforgotten love? Book Copy Gratis Revell Books

Lights Out by Natalie Walters is the first book in her Snap Agency series. CIA analyst Brynn Taylor has to collaborate with Jack Hudson from the Strategic Neutralization and Protection Agency to find a missing Egyptian spy. The trouble is she broke his heart eight years ago and he doesn’t trust her. As they work together with the SNAP team, they must overcome their pasts and learn to work together to save the world from an international plot. This story had me turning pages just as fast as I could. I enjoyed getting to know this new team. The characters were unforgettable. The suspense had me on the edge of my seat. I can’t wait for the next installment. I received this book from the author for my honest review.

In LightsOut, Brynn Taylor is a CIA analyst who has put together a program designed to bring countries together to fight terrorism. But when the representative from Egypt goes missing, she fears that she may have inadvertently invited a terror attack on American soil. Jack Hudson works for The Strategic Neutralization and Protection Agency, and he is not pleased to learn that he will have to work with Brynn Taylor, the woman who broke his heart eight years ago, on his new assignment. Together Jack and Brynn must locate the missing Egyptian spy, but as their search for him widens, they discover a plot larger than they could have imagined. Will Brynn and Jack be able to overcome their rocky past and stop the wheels already in motion? Lights Out is non-stop action from start to finish. The characters are well-developed and likable. I easily connected with Brynn and Jack and found myself rooting for them to work things out between them. The plot was unpredictable and had a lot of moving parts that made it challenging to see how it would all fit together until it was all explained in the end. I appreciate that the author writes clean romance and makes the characters’ faith a part of the story. Overall, this was a really exciting read and a great first book in this new series. *I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

I started a little late to the game with Natalie Walters debut series, but I absolutely devoured them once I discovered her. Since that series was so good, I have been anticipating the release of her new series for what seems like forever! It is finally here and well worth the wait! Lights Out is the first in her new SNAP agency series complete with lots of twists and turns to keep you guessing. It is full of action-packed, page-turning suspense with plenty of fabulous characters who I look forward to getting to know even more about in future books. Oh and we can't forget just the right amount of romance. I really liked that Jack and Brynn, the main characters in this story, have a history. That always makes a relationship in a suspense book that is so fast-paced seem so much more believable. One of my favorite parts of the book is the team aspect. Some of my favorite suspense series center around a team working together to solve a case and this is right up there with those in my opinion. In addition to Jack and Brynn, having the other team members added more personalities as well as more opportunities for witty banter and fabulous dialogue. Kekoa was one of my most favorite characters in this story so I am so pumped to see that his story is next and is releasing next year!!Readers who enjoy Lynette Eason, Dani Pettrey, Ronie Kendig, and Lynn Blackburn will definitely want to give this series a try.Thank you to the author and publisher for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All opinions expressed are entirely my own.
