Reverberations from the Wolfpack invasion are still resounding in Saddlestring. Lots of bad guys locally and imported to challenge Joe and Nat. Prime among them is the new sheriff in town. Snipers abound and Joe gets shot again but the plot is brisk and the story stays interesting. Another win for Mr. Box

Fast paced and action packed. Except for the part where the game warden becomes state patrol, it's a good read. Great story, great narration, Plot is engaging. Characters, especially the new Sheriff and the judge make the book exciting.

"Long Range" is the 20th. installment of the Joe Pickett series. I've loved all these books and can't decide if this was the best so far. Lots of action and stories within stories. I was completely surprised to find out who the perpetrator was. The author kept me completely in the dark. It was an excellent story, well written and getting five stars.

A page turner - fast paced and action packed. Not much nuance but a good ride. Box’s character - the falconer Nate Romanowsi is one of my favorite of the genre.
